Guild Wars 2: Thoughts?

If you are interested in the game and the story prepurchase. If not then wait price drops

I'm still not sure :) I only just got into the beta for this weekend, so haven't been able to try much. I like it, and will buy it, but I'm not exactly sure as to when. I don't think I will prepurchase it though, to avoid the rush and the crowded servers. So I think I'll either wait a month or 2 for that, or wait a bit longer for it to go on a sale somewhere. Still haven't decided.

Besides the servers being crowded(Which I am guessing will be fixed) its great fun.

It's good. If you are going to wait for price drop, you will have to wait for a while.

I've had fun with it so far. This is my first beta weekend, just trying to check everything out for now. I'm going to prepurchase, I think.

It's better than SW:TOR. :P There's really too much to take in for the limited time you get to play. I don't think it'll be on sale anytime soon.

I thought it was worth the pre-purchase, but I've been waiting for it for a number of years :) And I suspect servers being overcrowded right now is just a way to get one last stress test in before release.

• I really liked the storyline. After SWOTR, it is the best.
• Musics not satisfying
• Classes really good
• Races covers all tastes. Everyone can find what they are looking.
• PvE Events are unique and one of their kinds.
• Skill, Trait, Stats (STS) are complex but easy to understand.
  . This STS allows so many builds. and its highly satisfying
• Class balances are not clear yet. in a mid term it will be clear.
• Some weaps efficiency should be balanced.

These are humble average mmorpger review.

I get some fps issues here and there, it's playable but still, do you guys think they would optimize it a little bit for older machines before launch?

Beta is great, it still requires more CPU than GPU power tho :(

Camera is a bit sluggish, default chatbox is not to my liking, and parties seem to be bugged where I cannot always chat in /party even though I can kick and invite players to my party.

Terrible game! I tried the first beta in march and the last one this weekend and can only laugh how bad this game is. It reminds me alot of Age of Failiure: Big hype, terrible game.

played it 30 mins, looks great, but my pc can hardly handle it.
i get 5fps at those nearby events.
i'd say wait until its released, maybe they're gonna add smth like 1 week trial, and see for urself if its worth it.

Guild wars 1 is $20

Played GW1 and can't cope with the fact GW2 is not GW1? You'll hate it.

Played GW1 and want something fresh but close in design philosophy? You'll love it.

Played WoW and want a WoW reskin? You'll hate it.

Played (most of the popular) MMOs and disliked them, or not played MMOs at all? You'll love it.

I think that they will most likely do what they did with GW1, which is that they'll let people play for x amount of hours or until a specific level for free as a trail version once it comes out. So you can try it then and see if you like it or if you have any friends who have the game ask them if you can play on their account for a little while, just to see if the game is for you.

I personally really enjoy the game but ultimately it comes down to your own tastes

It's worth it, but fuck their unfair pricing. Gonna try trade-in those free games from GMG and get it from them.

It will die few months after release, like Warhammer Online(GW2 is much like it, with better gameplay and worse lore).And a year after it will be f2p.
