That's not true, here's your thread from 3 months ago:

This is about to get nowhere.
Someone just didn't get their way.

I know exactly what you mean. I filed a report on a user for possible Multiple Accounts, and the ticket was closed without a single comment.
I get another moderator to look into it, and 2 of the suspected accounts (out of 6 total) the person is using came from the same IP address.
I mentioned that the other accounts probably also connect via VPN, so hopefully it's being looked at.
But yes, support often closes crap without justification or comments.

It's disabled for Members, but Members used to be able to comment on tickets.
I haven't looked lately to see if Moderators are unable to comment on Tickets.

Would have been faster to just check without searching.

In case that wasn't clear enough, we Mods cannot comment on User Reports. Rest assured, however, that such reports are not closed until they have been thoroughly canvassed.
Comment has been collapsed.
It wasn't canvassed enough. I actually had to get a second mod to take a look at it, and certain information was found out.
User is still here though despite there being evidence against said user.

It wasn't canvassed enough.
You have no way of knowing. We Mods do not share details of our investigations, account flagging, or corrective action. Perhaps 90% of what we do is never even seen by "the public." If a user is punished for something, it is because we were able to gather sufficient evidence. If not, then we were either able to clear the individual of the wrongdoing, or the investigation remains ongoing.
And that is not even taking into account all of the user reports for things that are within the site rules....

Started to read and this is the first thing that came to my mind.
So after this post, that is exactly what I'll be doing.

Please note that user reports cannot be commented on, including by staff members.
Important
Due to the high number of user reports, comments are disabled. Reports will be closed by a staff member once they're reviewed, and action taken if deemed necessary.
I've been bugging cg to allow at least staff to reply to user reports, but it's not something he's looking to implement anytime soon.

It's a shame that comments on user reports were retroactively removed... I filed a couple of user reports months ago, everything went well, perfectly happy, got comments explaining the resolution and rationale to me, but now when I go back to check, the comments aren't there anymore. I guess it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things as it's in the past, but it's a bit strange it had to be done that way, ie. completely wiping out all comments rather than just preventing new ones. Would be nice if they can be reinstated after this is eventually lifted, if it ever is.

As far as I know, user reports could never be commented on. I could be wrong though.

Huh, you always learn something new. I know that since SGv2, user reports haven't been able to be replied to, and I thought for all time before that, user reports went into the void queue that only cg could access. I guess at some point a long, long time ago user reports was actually functional.

once they're reviewed
Yes reviewed, but they didnt. I created it and it closed immediately.

Because they are closed right after I clicked on "Create Ticket".

Nope he never been banned.
Rule:
Use the appropriate avenues for support. If you have an issue with another user, submit a ticket with a user report, rather than calling them out within the community or on the forum.
Why is he allowed to calling out him on the forum?
Comment has been collapsed.
they made a public service announcement trying to help the community to not break the rules. i did the same thing without a giveaway link a couple weeks earlier. all they did was call them out for being a gifter, there are no rules against talking about someone in general.
so they reviewed it & decided action was not deemed necessary.
Jatan11t currently has won 680 games -- is this a callout? xD

But isnt that the same if I know someone created a fake giveaway and I just want to help the community, why I get 2 months ban for it?
Comment has been collapsed.
you would of been telling the community this person is doing a bad thing which is a callout.
whereas the other case they were telling the community about a persons mistake and how it could cause them to accidentally break the rules.
don't get me wrong it's a hard rule to interpret, and even vague comments can be considered a call-out. but one being a friendly piece of advice to not get people in trouble, and the other one pointing the finger at someone saying they are doing something wrong on purpose are two different things.
i can't answer the reason for the length of a ban though, typically if it's that long then its due to prior incidents.
Comment has been collapsed.
think of that particular rule as a glass window. ^^
the torch cave topic walked up and smacked it, but it didn't quite break.
the fake giveaway incident would of walked up to it and hit it just hard enough to crack.
i'll be perfectly honest and tell you my incident (unmentioned) i walked up and used a diamond cutter and broke right thru it. ;)

why I get 2 months ban for it
Are you sure you are talking about steamgifts and not some other website?
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes it was steamgifts. I wrote "Look at his other giveaways" and Ronix banned me for 2 months. Later I was banned for 1 months because I wrote "Why you do not activate the dlc?". Thats why Im so pissed off right now, because they ban for for this funny reasons for this long times.

You know that I can see your suspension history right? Why you choose to lie about this, I have no idea. Anyways, you have a great day now.

I accidentally made a honey pot for rule breakers with a recent giveaway. So i just spot-checked a bunch of them and reported them. Plenty of people who did not like to activate their games, or enjoyed winning the same games over and over again.
Comment has been collapsed.
Repeat offenders who keep not activating their keeps do end up getting perma-suspended. I don't know how many times you need to get suspended for not activating your games or multiple wins, but it does seem to be a point where they get a perma-suspension. It won't be the first time they get suspended though, even if they have over 20 unactivated games.
Comment has been collapsed.
What's the official "guideline" for steam bundles/multipacks though? Do they count as 1 non activated win or as x non activated games? Cause I have seen people who would be way over 20(even had one with 38 total) if the games counted individually but because they were multipacks(e.g. Valve Complete Pack) they served a suspension for around a month and are back prowling around.

Who said you got paid? O.o I never wrote that. You can do a job too even without get paid.

Eh, although I disagree with the main post here ripping on mods, I would have to agree that a job does not insinuate being paid. Oh well!

But np, you harm yourself
Not surprised that OP is of that opinion considering how he was using his list before two way blacklisting
Coincidentally i would not have added him to mine before the implementation, which means it's working exactly like i wanted it to.
Comment has been collapsed.
These changes are inviting me to start using it,
he clearly didnt want me to enter his GAs, nothings changed, there where diffenrent circunstances that lead him to clear his list. and blacklisting quickly removed his GAs from the main Page :P
