I'm participating in the Extra Life gaming marathon for a children's hospital. All donations are made directly to the hospital with no admin or other fees taken out.

I'm trying to raise awareness of my donations page and get a little bit creative with ways to raise money. I was wondering if I were to do game giveaways on here, would there be any interest for the community to here to make donations. Do you guys think this would be successful on here or not? I was also thinking about possibly doing exclusive giveaways for people who have made donations. Lets say if I asked people to leave there Steam ID's in the comments of the donation, and I make certain benchmarks ($25, $50, $100, etc.), I can give away games to those who donated exclusively (randomly selecting).

So, do you guys think this would be a good way to raise donations or do you think this would be unsuccessful? Also, if you have any other ideas for ways to raise donations, feel free to comment, I'm all ears.

Thank you very much in advance!

Also, if any of you were interested in participating in the marathon yourselves or wanted more information about the charity, here is the link for the website - www.extra-life.org

Something similar has been done in the past but it was done by a very well known member. I guess you are not well known here so it would probably be rather difficult to get more donations than you spend to make giveaways.

Idonno about your idea, but thanks for introducing me to this. It looks like a really interesting team project with a good outcome, and I'm hoping that I can start it up within my club. (:

Ehhhm not sure if this is a good idea ...
But hey! :) It's your time, effort and money. :) If you want, just go for it. (First ask the support about it, I guess.)
The best I can do for you atm, is a shameless, lame bump. :D
