I'm a big fan of Junk Jack, which just recently got fully released on steam iirc

I'm not really sure how to say how it's different, because... It sorta... isn't?
I recommend trying it though, pick it up on ios if you have it. I still play the mobile version to this day, so...

Now that you say it i just realise that I haven't asked it clearly, i'm going to edit that!
First, thanks for all this! Then, same question as for Junk Jack, what make Starbound and Crea different from Terraria? I see that Crea seem to have a better fighting system!
And for Factorio and Dwarf Fortress it's more "management" games right?

Since you mentioned Super Motherload, there is always the original Motherload. It's just mining but with a surprise in the bottom.
(Also it's free.)

How about Full Bore?
Also, this is a strategy game, but Delve Deeper is worth checking out.

Dunno if they fit exactly, but there's a low budget indie one called Mines of Mars, as well as Darkout (perhaps) and one that could have been good but they failed and left it a mess IMO - Edge of Space. Besides the first one I mentioned, all the enjoyable ones were pretty much covered by the people before me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
EDIT:
Maybe check out RimWorld while you're at it ;).

Glad to be of service. Maybe also check out Spelunky, just came to mind - it's more of a platformer, but enjoyable nonetheless. Haven't played Darkout myself, just watched some YT and decided to give it away, the execution on that one just felt lackluster... but as I said, I just watched some gameplay vids, I could be wrong. Maybe someone who actually played it can give you some more info.

Spelunky is one of my favourite game :D I instabought it looooooong ago thinking it was a mining exploration game, when I've started and saw the difficulty ..and even worse, the ghost, i've uninstalled it. (I was really bad at this time and i hated all these hard games x) ) But now I really love it! I still wish there's a no time limit mode with an unbreakable pickaxe but well x)
For Darkout i'll wait till it's even cheaper than this 3euros discount to try it! x)

Yeah, Red Faction seems to only be good when it is an odd number, the others tend to be...lacking. The second was more of a war game and you played as different characters than the first. Guerrilla was quite different, no longer had the destructible environment, it was replaced with destructible buildings. I think it could be best described as a cross between Red Faction and Just Cause 2. Armageddon was unbelievably bad, I didn't get too far before uninstalling it.

I dare say you might be missing one of the better digging games for your list! None other than Dig-n-Rig!
Some other, less awesome ones:
And then there's always... this.
Oh, and the not-even-in-early-access-yet-but-might-have-mining-potential Oxygen not included

Haha to be really honest, I saw Dig-n-Rig the other day when i was searching for mining games, i took a probably too quik look and i tought it was ugly and looking tedious. Well ok, it was retarded to not even look the trailer because now that that i've done it, I think it look like a really good game. Big thanks for bringing me this second tought!
I already knew Nom Nom Galaxy and Shut up and Dig (I just remembered by talking about unfinished game with Skibby) but they were out of my head!
Thanks a lot for all these new entries!

Hi there!
After the great succes of my first thread to ask you guys if you knew some Heavy Metal themed video games, I've decided to do an other one for an other type of games that i desperatly need to play... Mining games.
Ok, that sound retarded, but i like the "thrill" of finding rare ores (and sell these for a lot of money, in some games x) ) I guess i've played too much Minecraft back in the days..
You've been awesome and bring me a lot of good answers the first time, so i summon your power and i beg for your help again, ho great forum!
I'll do a list of all answers like in the other one, in hope to help some other people.
So, did you know any "action" games with mining? Games like SteamWorld Dig are exactly what i'm looking for, but things like Terraria are ok too!
And here's the list:
No real "action" but worth digging:
+the original Motherload flash n'free!
...And that's all, i think.
Thanks for the help, and sorry for zee bade englich x)
