thats brutal, didnt think people would use bots to snipe these kinds of games

or probably everyone just jumped and started activating at once, I dont know

I managed to get one at least! It was Mad Digger, which looks to be a lot like Dig Dug (my favourite arcade game), so thanks a lot!

The bots don't really care what the game is, they're programmed to identify steam codes on all kinds of site (twitter, discord and well, steamgifts) they just activate it

Ouch. Yeah, bots don't differentiate. That's why in threads for keys dumping we recommend doing at least a little bit of "encryption" to make sure it goes to humans... Well, higher chances of going to humans.

Steamgifts is full of Bots constantly scraping the site looking for keys posted in this public forum right here. If you give away a key on the forums, you always have to encode it.

I personally like puzzles for keys, movie trivia or otherwise. It's all still 'googleable' but it's fun to figure out some of the puzzle and get that duplicate code message.

Btw.: Steam itself never had the feature to activate multiple keys at once as far as I remember. The Augmented Steam browser extension does make that feature available on https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey though.

I have a browser extension that allows me to redeem multiple games at once. So maybe a few people with the same extension just dumped the whole list in their browser and redeemed as many games as they could.
