More than 50 hours? Far Cry 3 has nice multiplayer stuff.

you heard from wrong people. the game is good and not dumbed down. just a few new things that people might now like but can be turned off in higher difficulties. im currently playing in normal and its still a little challenging at times. i would recommend hard difficulty for a really good experience to start off with.

I've been playing the hell out of Absolution recently and I think the people that don't like it are just whiny because it veered from the original Hitman formula a bit. The game certainly has flaws but its still a very fun game.
I haven't played Assassin's Creed 3 but if it's anything like the other games in the series just expect more of the same. I'm personally very nervous about Far Cry 3 after the complete mess they made of Far Cry 2. Far Cry 2 had a solid base but they artificially increased play time by making you travel back and forth over the entire map fighting the same enemies. This got boring very fast for me.
My vote goes for Absolution at this point.

I love Absolution but I don't think I'm likely to play it over 50 hours, or even over 40.

This is a really uneducated opinion since I don't own any of these games, but if it came down to those three games, I would buy Farcry 3.

far cry 3 will keep you playing and openworld sandbox,multiplayer,co-op will allow for alot of gameplay. have it on 360, will pick this up on steam too later. the characteres and narrtive is so well done.
assassins creed 3 keeps pulling you out of control and forcing you through dumb crap like desmond, frustrating if you ask me. also, conor is just such a flat character and story is as bs as ever
hitman absolution is relatively short and you must really like Contracts mode if you even want to get 30 hours out of it, but you might as well play Blood Money, since that's better

Absolution has taken me well over 30 hours and I still haven't beaten it. Then again I play for perfection on the professional difficulty levels. When I get spotted, I restart the level. Sure the game is short if you go in guns blazing or play it on normal but up the difficulty and actually try to use stealth and it takes significantly more time. Especially when you're anal like me and try to get suit only, grab evidence, and go unspotted without subduing people.

As of now, I believe I can sink 60+ hours into Absolution. I'm 10 hours in and not even half way through the story on hard. The sheer amount of challenges to complete and choices to make will keep me replaying levels several times. Then there's the points system, trying to get the highest rating with the most stealth. Then there's replaying the game on higher difficulties because each difficulty makes significant changes to the gameplay. FINALLY there's the contracts mode which will add even more hours of challenge.
I think you should have more faith in Absolution!

hitman
farcry is crap
and asasins is same the shit since 2nd one...
Hitman really deserve it...the last one was on 2006, 6 years of development and the last one was 10/10, this is MUCH better 12/10

Far Cry 3 one of the best shooters I've played in forever it really is Skyrim with Guns but skip the multiplayer for now.

don't buy ac3, its worst one in series. Cities are boring, street after street looks the same. amount of guards on the streets/ roofs( ??) is ridiculous . Even in the middle of forest there are 9 men patrols walking in circle guarding snow. No idea why they made soo many of them, since you can kill them without slightest problems. Fighting never been so easy, still its ridiculous how many times you have to stab opponent to actually kill him. Main character is just some random dude, not even close to being so charismatic as Ezio. Missions are uninteresting, most of people I'm helping out i would rather leave to death. This game is much worse then Revelations and thats kinda a achievement.

I have Absolution for the sole reason that it was $20 off on GMG. Its a really fun game, but the storyline will most likely not keep you playing for 50+ hours. AC3 I haven't played but on average I get around 30 hours in AC games before I start to get bored. Far Cry 3 on the other hand looks like a really well done game from what I've seen so far. The large map and multitude of missions looks like it would keep me going for well over 50 hours. Although it was not a very well done game, Skyrim lasted me over a hundred hours due to the fact that it was open world. With Far Cry's co-op and multiplayer as well as awesome characters and interested storyline, I'd say that it will probably keep you going the longest and still enjoying the game.

Judging from how much fun far cry 2 was I would have to say go with far cry 3, hitman can be fun if you are into stealth games but I have heard that they kind of messed with this one so idk about it. I loved the other assassins creed but there have been very mixed views about Assassins Creed 3 and I doubt you could keep playing that for 50+ hours since it gets repetitive. It's your choice in the end but I would say go with Far Cry 3, solid single player and multi player action.

No idea about AC3, but Far Cry 3 is rightfully called "Skyrim with guns" - same boring "go there, fetch/kill this" quests - some with actually nice story so far, but 90% are just one line of text telling you what to kill/fetch, same big world waiting to be explored. same tons of things to keep you occupied for some time. If you hated Skyrim, there's a big chance you'll hate Far Cry 3. If you loved UNMODDED Skyrim, you have chance to love FC3. I know I still have fun with it, so it's good.
And new Hitman is a good game. It's good you didn't played earlier games - you'll have fresh look at it, without memories about how it used to be. But, unlike Far Cry, Hitman require much more patience if you want to play it in the way it was meant to be, especially when trying harder difficulties. And thanks to challenges and contracts it will offer few more hours of playing after winning it.
