The original app was last updated in January 2021 and stopped working after the Steam redesign for a while so I fixed it. You can find the rest of the changes on GitHub

Edit: after using the app to browse, nothing loaded anymore so i visit the sg from browser and get this message - " 429 Too Many Requests. It looks like you've sent too many requests recently. Please wait a few moments and then try again.

Yep, I've had that happen too, but it doesn't look like I can do anything about it, it's SteamGifts blocking the app for too many requests. It happens from the desktop browser too sometimes

Hey NV, i think the reason is the comments order - if you select new first. At least i think this is the reason.
This is not good because if the threat is long you need to scroll long.

Thanks for the update! Every time I join a giveaway (quick enter or normal) the app crashes with an uncaught exception (although after joining). Is that just a "me"-bug?

I started maintaining the app since the login page stopped working for some time in April 2023, but doing 4 years worth of updates all at once to any piece of software is bound to cause some instability.

In your bookmarked giveaways you can't see the number of entries - even if you open the giveaway. You will not be able to see it until you enter.
This always annoyed me - any chance to fix that?

I took a look: looks like the entries only get updated for giveaways you entered because we can get that info from a single request to https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaways/entered, loading the entry count for giveaways you've not entered would require a request for each giveaway and that would probably fail/be very slow.

I have 2 issues....

When I tap the steam icon on the top right of GA to check a game, it opens steam in sg, instead of switching to the steam app... and

many times when I try to exit steam, to return to the GAs in sg for steamgifts, I get a rumble and it stays at the steam store homepage...
I'm using gesture controls on an Xperia 5 III on Android 12, btw

- Check if the Steam app is allowed to open Steam links, it should be in the settings app info screen as "Open links in this app by default" or similar
- You're trying to exit Steam which is a separate app, so the sg app has no control over it and I have no clue, sorry

Yes, it's able to open s,team; steamcommunity,com; and store,steampowered,com links

The UI is the steam app, and there is no url or taskbar, so it's not a browser, nor can I tap a 3 dots menu and "open in browser/open in app"
However if I confirm what app I'm in with the app drawer, I can see it is sg for steamgifts. closing the app and reopening it also gives me the steam store, in the steam app ui. only recourse is to swipe up at the app drawer to force quit sg
