Uplay is an instant pass for me. Silly Ubisoft, I might consider buying one of your games if you didn't have DRM. Then again maybe not, they'd have to start offering fair prices and getting rid of that price regioning bullshit.

Even if Uplay is the devil I will still have to pick up Driver when its that cheap, thanks for the heads up Wormy.

Some of these temp me and I would grab a few if they were Steam or No-DRM...Shame it needs Uplay... :-/

"Because of the Youth Protection Act just a few titles between 22:00 and 6:00 are available. In the period between 6:00 and 22:00 you can not purchase these products!"
Okay, then you obviously don't want my money. Must be hard to implement an age verification....
Thanks for ther heads-up Wormy.

it's some code that can be or not satanic in your machine depending on protection scheme

as much as I love ubisoft, uplay is a waste of time imo

Voice #1: Fuck uPlay!
Voice #2: But... two games you really want for $2 total!
Can anyone with experience with the uPlay store tell me how it works? Will I just get a couple of .exe installer downloads that I can backup to a disc and install/uninstall at my convenience, or will it be tied into some sort of uPlay client like an inferior Steam knockoff?

Pretty sucky indeed, but if I can just grab the installer when I buy it, back it up to a blank DVD, and then treat it like I would a retail disc I guess I can live with it. The end of the sentence you posted makes it sounds like that's probably the case. On the other hand, if I have to deal with some uPlay client crap to install it (especially if I only have 30 days to download, at which point I guess I'd have to leave it installed or lose it forever?) I'll hold off.

I just bought HAWX 2 for 1€ (because there is no DRM-free version afaik) through the uplay-client, which I already had installed, because I have Driver SF (everyone should buy it at Sunday!) on Steam and it's using Steam+uplay anyway.
You will not get a link to a download, the game will just be added to your uplay client in the games tab. There you can just click "download" and I doubt, that I can't install it in 2 months anymore. The only problem for me is, that I can't change the download directory. And that it uses uplay ;)

They use them. But I never had problems with them via Paypal.

Got meself a HAWX2 and seems it's the latter. Inferior Steam knockoff that is.
EDIT: Ok, it's more like cheap Origin knock off, but you can't go wrong for $1.

I will never prostitute myself for getting a few games just for being cheap and use that crap
