I make that sound when I'm constipated, too. Good luck squeezing it out. Careful of hemorrhoids.

And then reading the description, it says that later on in the process of making the game, they'll be holding a contest where we can submit our own concepts for an enemy in the game. Hnngh, yesss.
But of course you can always pay a high pledge and automatically win the ability to directly add your ideas towards an enemy of your own design). This stuff tickles the long-dormant creator in me. Gwehehehe~

Charging the idea-giver doesn't really grant any reliable degree of original material. Just that they get money along-side the concept. The way to play it safe is to do what they already plan to do on both accounts : Temper the ideas given to them, and work with the winner/backer to make it fit the game.

Of course it won't. But when someone pay huge sums of money for it, they will have to rethink about putting in stolen ideas.
Then again someone could give a good/wonderful but unoriginal ideas (or already licensed) to the game developers. Then later to sue them about using such ideas.
Thus all ideas should be self-made, all fans suggestion should only be taken or acknowledged as reference only. There is similar case happens in Dota 2 comestic item when a creator submit copyrighted materia and Valve publish it. Luckily the community realize it before things gone worse.

That's why with all such cases the company and the creator should sign a contract that allows the company to use it, whilst the character still remains in the ownership of the creator.

I never played the megaman series beyond some brief shots on a friend's ZSnes set-up way back when, but I'm looking forward to this. Don't you hate it when you were part of the generation that grew up around the originals, but never got around to playing/weren't interested in them at the time? I've got high hopes for this, and the expanded technology, guaranteed interest and newfound freedom from executive meddling is a perfect opportunity!

While we're at it, let's revisit just how awful Mega Man could have become under the modern Capcom.

Well, it doesn't look bad... It just wouldn't have really been a Megaman game.

I'm still pissed at Capcom for scrapping Megaman Legends 3.

Here
Basically a new Megaman game( well, without the Megaman IP) made by the devs of previous Megamans.
It made nearly 5000$ in the first 5 minutes.
"Mighty No. 9 is being developed for the PC with gamepad support (of course!), and will be made available through Steam and DRM-free digital distribution methods. Other platforms, including home consoles, Mac, and Linux, are a high priority, but only if we can afford them via stretch goals. Should we reach those goals, anyone funding the project will be allowed to choose which version of the game they would like to receive. The estimated release date is spring 2015."
