This is to prevent people begging to join those giveaway groups.

There are multiple topics about this (I know cause I made one of them and even back then I was late to asking for it)... there is another inconsistency as you can see the groups on the page with won GAs as a mouse over text... there was a bit of discussion about this but sadly still no official word...

Well in SGv1 you could see what group's a giveaway was for, even if you are not a member of them. This has changed and I would like it back.
What happens now is that you can see a group giveaway page if you are a member of one of the target groups. You can even see the other target groups as long as you are a member of one of them. If the purpose of changing this feature was to hide the groups you are not a member of, there is still a flaw in the functionality. So:
Either show only the group you are a member in and gives you access to the giveaway, or show all the groups even if you can't access the giveaway at all (personally prefer the second one). Now with the group stats pages there is one more reason why we should be able to see all the groups. As a group owner I don't mind others being able to see the group's giveaways in our member's profiles (as a list ofc not the giveaway itself). It's a way to promote the groups as well.
I hate it when I check someone's profile and try to see which group he has created that many giveaways for and I can't see the group. It was also a way to expose SG CV abusers.
