I don't mind if they put it in something other than a comment (or old comments), but those require an actual hint. Searching for 🥚 in every thread of thousands isn't practical e.e

I absolutely don't expect someone to search in every thread. Personally not a fan of having to scour all over the place, especially when folks hide things different ways. I try to keep things simple and relevant, you just have to pay attention.

only 6? So many eggs this year, kinda difficult to not find a lot ;) Pro tip: If you got a thread open, you can use the search field on the left under "new discussion" to search all comments in a thread for an egg emoji for example

How did you fare? I got 66 eggs. I think it's a low number, but I really didn't put much effort into this event. I'm still thankful I got so many, my initial expetations were way more towards 10-20.

I've not been counting but I've entered every one which I liked the look of (Except Mhol1071's Star Wars one, which eluded me.

I think I did reasonably respectably this year, certainly better than last year. I put that down this year to actually setting some time aside each day to quickly skim the "last page" of threads straight from the start of the event, last year I stated midway and found it was just overwhelming to try and hunt backwards as well as forwards. Also I found that searching for 🥚 or 🐰 in certain threads produced the odd sneaky find, especially easier on my phone!
My one bane were the ones hidden in edited comments that I sometimes didn't go back enough to notice, there's special place in Hell the Garden of Cute Bunnies for all of those!🐇
Haven't kept track but I think I found around 80 this year but didn't enter all of them, to be honest it was more fun just having that little thrill of finding something hidden that makes this event so fun, just something interesting to do when I had down time. Plus I also got to read some threads that I otherwise wouldn't have looked in so that always something nice.

I found almost every egg for my zero level. Except eggs from Ignition365, 2 from LycanKai and 1 from Ottah.
Can I ask where did you hide them Ignition365? Im very curious.

If you searched this thread for the egg emoji, my post "I hide egg" would come up despite no eggs visible. I used the hidden link trick, the hidden link was an egg emoji and the GA code. Inside my GA, I hid 4 hidden links to giveaways between each character in BUMP!
Apparently it wasn't appreciated because I got a couple of blacklists for it.

Oh, this is the first time I have come across this method. Once I used the page source code, I found it right away. Its a really interesting and clever trick.

People with installed scripts (sniffers etc.) have a extreme advantange with such used methods because normal people don't have the dev tools open.
I found the GAs because i hunted a lot of eggs and checked a lot but without that i would had missed them.
I don't get why people blacklist when someone give something away.
(Excluding: The person give everytime something away through hard puzzles and stuff, without to reveal which games are behind).
I understand why not everyone are happy with a difficult way when they have already not much time around easter and prefer it more relaxed. But none force(d) them to search for the stuff.
(I, as example, gave up with 1 or 2 other ones after 1h searching).
I got with every Cakeday Thread that i made more BL as WL, so i stopped with it years ago. Lesser spend money, lesser invested time, lesser stress. Win:win:win for me :-D

To be honest your was the most difficult (at least for me) in this egghunt, but I saw more difficult puzzles here on steamgift: from searching numbers and letters for old discussions edited in the main post after doing quiz to jigidi with 900 pieces with numbers and letters hidden in the final image (usually I surrender earlier).
After solving a difficult puzzle I like to enter the giveaway even if really not interested in that game only because I solved it.

Your hint was quite genious, literally telling people to search for an egg emoji sounds like you don't want to give a real hint, but simply following it almost solves it.

Easter is coming, so i decided to do a little egg hunt again. Like last year i will drop eggs in new comments in active threads till Apr 17th . Whenever i drop an egg, you get a little bit of info here. If enough people ask, i might drop a hint. To raise the difficulty a little bit, this year some "eggs" might appear in text form or in the form of a bunny or something
Please don't share locations or any hints.

Before someone asks for permission to create an egg, just do it ;) If you want the egg info in the list like the others, just send me the link to the thread, where you put it, through steam or in an old giveaway. Duration and level is your choice of course, but it would be nice when they end around easter.
Edit: Laying Date for eggs from others is the moment i got informed of the eggs. Eggs from others must not follow my rules of level/duration/new comment.
