I get redirected to GamersGate UK where the price is £29.95. Maybe we can use an USA proxy. Has anyone done it before to confirm it?

Arrgh, I was supposed to pick up a $25 Visa Gift Card today, but the only place they have it is Wal-Mart. oh well.

lol £29.95. And besides, no-premium version ain't worth 10$

Apologies, I didn't realize it was a regional thing. Proxy, maybe?
No, not a pricing error, as there's a countdown clock for the sale.
As for the price, this is the first time I've seen it for 75% off, anywhere. Considering EA's opinion of sale prices, I'm guessing that Gamersgate is taking the hit on this one.

The forked tongue of EA's PR department strikes again.
Damn the plummeting value of intellectual property...

But they are right - there are more people waiting for sales instead of buying games full price thanks to all those digital promotions. Right now games are being bought at two times - release and sale. Beside that, tough luck.
Of course, without sales most of those games wouldn't sell too. And circle is closed.

They may or may not be right, but after lambasting Valve and others for devaluing IP through colossal discounts, the fact that EA merrily went ahead and did exactly the same shows them to be hypocrites of the highest order, with as much interest in sticking to their principles as the average shark has in vegetarianism and 14th century architecture...

They are right - just look at Winter Sale threads, how "everyone" said that was really poor sale, not only because it lacked achievements, but also because prices weren't small.
And then, Sleeping Dogs screw up, and suddently, people started to get better opinion about it.
So, they are right that sales do cheapen games. But since they are money-grabbing-corporation, it's not strange to see them being hypocritical. It's just nice to have it in writing that they are :P .

you vote with your wallet, and we vote with ours.
make a damn good game and you get people willing to pay full price at launch.
screw us over and over with DLC crap and sub-par games, it becomes a no brainer for us to wait and see how the game plays, and only purchase when you've finally decided to release all the dlc / it goes on sale.
blaming consumers on the crap you make - ridiculous

I didn't bought anything at full $60 price, even at launch - thanks to not-region-locked Russian games or -35% vouchers on GMG, put on top of already discounted preorders.
And even then I only buy when devs are quiet about DLCs. When they mention any DLC, I'm dropping game from my buy schedule until some full/GOTY/Ultimate/whatever edition is released, and in -75% sale.

Amazing. The game is not even available on my region. But the dlcs are!

Regarding the Premium version and upgrade packs, I did see them on sale over on GameStop.com. Nowhere near as good a sale as GamersGate, but still, if you're hunting for them, you can get the full premium package on sale for $39.99 (from $59.99), and the premium upgrade pack (which you'd want if you've already bought the base, non-premium game) is on sale for $29.99 (from $49.99). Once again, I have no idea if this is a regional thing or not, so your mileage may vary. :)
(Y'know, the irony of this is that I'm not able to take advantage of the GamersGate sale myself right now. I did, however, manage to pick up BF: Bad Company 2 recently, including the Vietnam expansion, which I think looks awesome, so I'm good. I'll grab BF3 next time around.)

GamersGate
Flash sale, with only about 6 hours left. I know, it's Origin, but I figured for a game this popular (and one not available on Steam at all) it was worth mentioning. Base game, not the premium/deluxe/whatever with all the add-ons. On the bright side, all those extras are available in an upgrade pack, so you can grab the game now cheap and, if desired, wait for the premium pack to go on sale sometime later.
Also, since it comes to mind and we're talking Origin, I spotted a cool bundle over on Gamefly. Dead Space 1 & 2 bundled for 7.50, or 5 bucks apiece. Almost jumped on that one myself, but that's a Securom game, so I prefer to go... an alternate route. lol
