I'm looking for a good Cloud Service that can store my Game Saves, mostly for the games that don't support SteamCloud, because I don't really want to save them on removable HDD or USB.

So far I found these 2:
http://www.gamesave-manager.com/ (it will do backups on local drive only, it has a cloud option but only with Dropbox/Google Drive/Personal FTP Server, you have to sync the saves manually, you can do it automatically too but with Sync+Link)
https://www.gamestow.com/ (it's more like SteamCloud, the sync is automatically done when exiting the game)

Any idea if they are any good? Or if you know any trused and good services, please post them :)

EDIT: Oh well, I tried Dropbox+GameSave Manager, neah it's not my style, I'm to lazy to do the backups manually.

I'll stick to GameStow because it's more like SteamCloud, it will sync your games after you exit them.

Will leave the thread open, maybe someone has any question or I don't know.

GameSave Manager has no own cloud, it just supports other clouds.

I use Dropbox with GameSave Manager and it does its job well.

Don't really know much about Dropbox, but I think you have to store your saves manually ... I want something automatic, like SteamCloud, I see that GameStow has this feature.

You can link your saves to Dropbox or any other place you want, then the saves are always up-to-date. GameSave Manger has a feature that links the files for you, you just have to do this once per game and then you never have to care about them again.

BTW from the GameStow FAQ:

"How much cloud storage will I get for my game save files?

During the public beta test, you can store up to 15 different PC game saves on the cloud."

So you won't have much space on GameStow.

Space for 15 gamesaves isn't much but when you don't need more you can use it. Just use the service you would like, I recommend Dropbox or Google Drive with GameSave Manager.

Dropbox is a good cloud storage service. I haven't looked into using it for saves yet, but it is on my to-do list. I'd imagine you would have to change the folder the games save to to be in your Dropbox folder as opposed to My Documents/My Games/GAME..., but that should be doable. I think.

Yeah, you have link the folders with symbolic links to Dropbox. GameSave Manager has a feature that links the folder for you.

Not sure I follow that first part. Is the linking a standard feature (in Win7) or something that comes with the GSM? I prefer having as few extraneous programs as possible to install when I move computers

That's ok, I'm nerdy enough for the challenge. Appreciate the help :)

Edit: After looking at the stuff it seems that the way to do this would be to move the actual save files to the Dropbox, and generate a symbolic link at C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games on each computer. Or if you don't use the My Documents folder for other stuff, just link the whole thing since not all game saves go in \My Games\

I prefer Dropbox over GDrive, because I can easily share my files on the internet. I'm talking about that Public folder. I also have 9gb of space in dropbox and gdrive is offering only 1gb.

Yeah, that was another "selling point" for me. I think between the Camera Upload and Space Race things my DB is almost 13 gigs. Also you don't have to put things in the public folder to share them - the context menu when you right click a file in your DB should have an option to generate a direct link to that specific file (or folder if that's what you click)

You don't have to backup manually. Have you selected Sync+Link in GameSave Manager?

Anyway good luck with GameStow!
