Worms Reloaded Giveaways

I just noticed a bug happened on steam, that makes steam gifts think people own Worms Reloaded even for those who didn't download/play in the free week.

Now I'm seeing a sudden increase in Worms Reloaded giveaways. So a doubt has just arisen: Are people exploiting the bug in order to create fake WR giveaways or it's just paranoia of my part?

Paranoia. Plus there are a few forum topics about it still showing up already.
