*General sale tips!

1. First of all, do not repeatedly hit F5 waiting for a page to reload. There will be literally millions of other people doing it at the same time, which will inevitably lead to server problems. It is best to simply ignore the store page until an hour or two after the sale has started to ensure the purchases go smoothly.

2. Although all sales have been different, the premise of this one will most likely be the same, there are daily deals which will go up for huge price cuts, and tons of bundles. What you want to go after first are the daily deals. Their price cuts will be great, and they will go back to normal sale price afterwords. If not, buy on the last day. Virtually all games will go on sale, even some new releases (although for not as much). There have been rumors of “Flash deals”, which are deals on certain games for a limited time, and limited quantity to buy. These change every hour or so. There may be summer themed items that you can collect in some way, which you can trade or turn into games, or coupons.

3. Create a wishlist, if you haven’t already. Check it each day. Don’t have a computer? Use your smartphone. There’s an app for that! For those of you that don’t know why people talk about a “seal” all the time, it’s a mis-spell of “sale” that somehow caught on. I think it’s annoying.

4. Since there are so many bundles, you may want to grab some. Problem is, some may have games in them that you already own. If you do, you may not get an extra copy of the game. This may be a big turn-off for some of you. However, the games in the bundle will more likely than not go on sale individually anyways, so don’t worry too much. If it is around 1-3 games you already own out of 10 games, go for it. Much more than that and I would pass. *Click here for a list of games that will, + FAQ.
