I don't know if this happens on other browsers.

But at random the scroll button on the mouse stops responding until a reboot, i atleast noticed that for a few months now.

If rebooting Edge doesn't fix it, could be a mouse driver issue. Can try reinstalling the drivers for your mouse.

It's a logitech mouse together with a logitech keyboard and the logitech hub which occasionaly asks itself to be updated, wouldn't that be enough? And rebooting the pc makes it say it doesn't require reinstalling drivers.

This is the only site that i experience the issues with (we all know cg's priorities).

If it's only this site, try clearing all cookies for sg and log back in.

I would say a driver issue but since it only happens on SG makes it weird. Never happened to me, though I don't use Edge nor Windows. I guess clearing cookies would be a good start. You can also try disabling extensions altogether to see if that fixes the problem. If it fixes, the next step would be determining which extension it is. Also could be related to Tampermonkey / Greasemonkey modifications if you have any.

I use Chrome and from time to time it happens to me as well. Opening a new tab won't fix it either, I have to open a whole new instance of browser. An FYI, this isn't a mouse issue, it happens on any mouse I've used from several different brands. I have brought it up to the team awhile ago, so I believe CG is aware.

Do you have any addons or extensions on your browser?

Edge is based on Chromium, so it seems logical that it also affects Chrome. And I would be surprised if it were specific to Steamgifts... but it could be related to sites with a long list of items to scroll (like some Amazon pages for example).

If you do a Google search for "Chrome mouse wheel not working logitech" you will find posts that talk about this kind of problem with Chrome, but most of them are quite old... so not sure if they are still relevant. However, this old one could be interesting.

And otherwise, Firefox is one of the rare browsers not based on Chromium... ;)

Edit1: If it's possible to update your mouse drivers or associated software, do so. That's the first thing to try. There may very well be an old bug regarding their interaction with Edge/Chromium that has been worked around or fixed in newer versions.

Edit 2: I assumed that, when the scroll button doesn't seem to work on SG, you can still scroll the page in another way (such as using the down arrow on the keyboard or manually dragging the scrollbar), otherwise the issue is different.

It might not be just Steamgifts, i can't say 100% but i also dont visit many other sites (that have extensive scrolling) maybe why i just didn't noticed it.

I can't get used to any other browser then Edge, i was even so stubborn to use Internet Explorer till the last end. ;)

Oh! I've started using SG on Chrome in my mobile phone a few months ago (at least I have something to do on my commute each day). And sometimes I can't scroll, I don't know how to describe it properly, but randomly it doesn't let me go up or down and if I try to force it, its stuck, screen is glitching and broken. I though that it was just dumb me, but it's true, that this weird stuff happens only on SG website, I didn't run into it on other websites.
When this glitch happens, I usually just need to resize the window and reload it, then the problem is gone and it's the great functional website we all know^^

If you encouter this problem only on SG it could be server related. Page is lagging and not loading propertly, causing scrolling problems. Also it could be a DNS issue. You can check that by installing for example WARP from Cloudflare. (I would recommend using it anyways, because DNS traffic is not encrypted). It will redirect your querries via different (their) servers. Finally, depending on your location and ISP you can experience routing problems. Data packets travel between many different nodes and some of those can cause problems. Anyways, personally I think you probably experience connection issues.
