It's not bandwidth, that's your monthly data cap or usage allowance.

Bandwidth refers to the speed of your traffic, not the amount.

Also have 40 gb per month, but that's pretty good for where I live :|

My response to this. And yeah, go with an unlimited plan. That will solve your problem.

i used to have 15g / month...that's driving me nuts and i have to download all games on campus...then i switched to 70g/month and much better....

60gb and usually 50kps download speed. It's $30 a month. I get around abusing my workplace internet.

DSL - 300GB a month, unlimited bandwidth in non-peak hours for $50/month its slow internet though cuz they aren't popular in my area, but we have Cable also for $55/month with 80GB and fast speeds. Yes, I have 2 internet providers. I love me some TekSavvy! :)

We used to have unlimited here, but that's been gone for a while. We constantly used to go over our cap because the rest of my house loves streaming things online, so we've been constantly upping the speed/cap. I think we're at the highest one available here now, something like 200 or 250GB and 50MB d/l.

I love how everyone's comparing e-peen with the data cap/bandwidth figures, instead of, y'know, answering Mango's question.

To which I'll answer "Where exactly are you?" It's useless to ask for recommended ISP's and/or plans if we don't know what you have available.

In that case it would be cheaper to buy a 1-2 TB portable hard drive and dl stuff somewhere else where it's unlimited.

Unlimited, 100Mbit/s (had to struggle with 2Mbit/s back home) included in the rent. Move to Finland to study.

My neighbor uses cox cable which doesnt cap usage, and thus I dont have a usage cap. Open wireless network tisk tisk. Also, ive downloaded damn near a terabyte in a month on this connection so... ya. I download a lot of linux ISOs wink.

Yer, you should really change you broadband provider. It's not really good for gaming and shit. You'd always go past your limit and pay more I guess. Unlimited might work out cheap for you and you won't have anything to worry about. :)

Belgium here, and unlimited. Though it used to provide a 10 GB limit per month (like 8 years ago).

Yep...got 3 "28mbps" connections, 2 are the same packages while the other is the expensive one. Planning to get 4G 100mbps connection, releases next month here.
