Huh? Reading trough the comments I gotta ask:
You mean people still associate Christmas with Christianity? Ok, so the names sound similar and there is an origin thing involved, but last I checked Christmas was a family holiday where people tell their kids that a fat guy in a red coat and big white beard brought them presents from the north pole. While I don't give a shit enough to read the bible, I'm pretty sure that isn't in there.
By that logic is saying "Happy Easter" also seen as "offensive"? :P

This should answer your question.
To any reasonable person, anyway. There are some jerks who like to make a big deal out of it.

I agree. Holidays, no matter which religion they originate from, are meant to celebrate and be happy with your family and friends. I am somewhat agnostic, and if I have to believe in one religion, then I believe in all of them. I have Christian as well as Muslim friends, and I greet them always on their respective holidays and festivals. And they greet me back. Sometimes I even celebrate with them, and they even join me in Hindu festivities and holidays. So far, no one has taken offence of anything, and I hope that no one ever does.

I'm Muslim and I say screw anyone who gets offended. It's your holiday and celebration not theirs so F them. If they don't want to be greeted they should stay at their homes and not calling anyone or even answering the phone or the door. Hell, they shouldn't even go online nor watch TV.

Last I checked, I think you meant ABCrap, and MShitNBC. Though Fox is better, it's still laughable at how bias their talk shows are. Which is why I prefer BBC

It depends on where you live. USA is a huge country. The south is typically more religious than the north. I myself have never witnessed someone getting upset when someone said "Merry Christmas", but have seen news articles online about it. Mostly it seems to be about holiday decorations on government property like courthouses and the like. But in general, I'd say it's no big deal to the majority of people.
Also, in case you wondered, we don't all carry guns either. In fact, I myself have never touched a gun in my life. The only guns I have seen have been on the police, holstered. I've never seen a gun pointed at anyone, nor heard one go off (well, except for hunting guns I've heard off in the distance when in the country).

You can say whatever the fuck you want, and if anyone gets offended they're worthless sacks of shit.

You can still say Merry Christmas if you want to. It's just you gotta be careful who you say it to because some people have some serious sticks up their asses and get offended at the dumbest things. The very large majority of us will be happy with whatever well wishes you want to give.

And the public decapitations of Muslims, non-Muslims, Yazidi, Chirstians and Turkish civilians occurs everyday by Islamic hands. So...Merry Christmas!

If someone is offended by you wishing them a merry xmas, just apologize : "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you by wishing you a merry xmas. I hope you have a horrible time in december"

You can say Merry Christmas, however most businesses don't want their employees from saying it, because they don't want to offend customers, but it isn't illegal, I even had the Domino's Delivery guy say Merry Christmas to me.

I understand the stereotype that Americans are easily offended and are a**holes who like to sue everyone, but I'd rather not confirm that stereotype, even though it is true of most Americans.

Well, whatever it is, you always can say; "have a nice week" or "my best wishes for you in this epoque". With these words you can go wrong, i guess...
