I immediately thought of this when I saw the title, but I don't know how many Owl City fans there are here.
P.S. Thank you for this, DesertMouse, I was there for a while, and I still start to feel that way every now and again, so it's nice to see that there are people that want to help.

Thanks for the giveaway and positive message.
I've been there myself at one point but, thanks to friends who supported me, I got through it and now live a (mostly) happy life.

I can relate. A very close friend of mine has been there.

I don't think you've met Forever Alone guy.
But on a serious note thanks for reminding us of this. Much appreciated.

What's that "something"?
Did you just stop relying on other people's shoulders?

No point in committing suicide? That may be correct (and, indeed, I agree that it is pointless to kill oneself just to commit suicide), but some people may believe there's even less point in remaining alive, in staying present in life, than in committing suicide just to kill themselves.
What if you're nothing but a drain on the world, wasting (consuming) the world's precious resources and seemingly taking, taking, taking from everyone and everything without giving back enough to compensate for what you've taken/consumed, adding to the world's entropy (disorder) without increasing order enough to offset the negativity?
Sure, I do positive things, but not enough to remove my net negative influence. No one wants me around (despite what you say). My negative influence is offensive to others, as they make and have made very clear to me with their words and actions. The only people who care enough to express what they feel about my continued presence in life are those who want to hurt me or want to remove me or want me to remove myself.
People who are indifferent or (heh) care about me in any POSITIVE way are quiet, never expressing to me their opinion. Anyone who cares for purely personal and selfish reasons is better off remaining quiet anyway. Only people who feel I'm important to them for a specific reason and who want me around in order to interact with me socially have real influence on my thoughts and it is only people who want me to be alive for those reasons who would be affected by my presence or lack thereof anyway.
I have integrity. I keep my word and my promises and can be trusted. That's why I'm still alive to type this message, despite the net negative effect I have on the world: I cannot, in good conscience, kill myself. That would betray my deepest convictions, something I will not—cannot—do. That's just as true today as it was those many months ago when this thread was first started.
I post this message despite its inanity, its lack of meaning, and its lack of reason to exist. That's an appropriate message to post for someone who embodies those same qualities...

This makes me really happy. I go through depression myself so I know how rough it is when you get low enough to consider terrible things. But luckily I have two good friends who support me, and I do the same for them as well. And sometimes a stranger is enough to help, so it's cool to see these kinds of messages.
Cheers, mate. Will edit later with cat pics to share the love when I'm on my computer.

I've had friends who cut themselves from depression and they try to hide it but their eyes are always sore and red from crying. Not everyday you see someone who does this and I would just like to say that I appreciate what you are doing. Faith in humanity restored.

BUMP for not letting depression get the best of you people! DON'T DWELL ON NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS! Seek help, from family, friends, psychologists and even psychiatrists if everything else fails. If when you are depressed you seek to be alone then HANG OUT with people! If on the contrary you feel empty and alone around others then take a day off to enjoy your favorite hobbies!

I support the sentiment and I'll leave it at that.

Thank you for making a difference.
If you weren't on my whitelist already this would be the right moment to put you there!

After going through a recent event where someone very close to me was feeling depressed and suicidal, thought I'd make some GA's to get a point across. If you are feeling this way, there is help, and people out there want to help. You're not alone and you are cared about. If you are not of this state of mind, realize that you could be the difference between them getting help, or doing the unthinkable. You will most likely never know how, who, or how many you helped, but that should make no difference. It just matters that you were there. Go and be the best you that you can be. If anyone out there needs someone, i accept all steam friend requests and will reply as soon as i see your message.
Try and keep the thread alive for a while so that more can see it. May i suggest pictures of cats? Anything really.
I'm going to attempt to update this thread once again once a week, between Friday and Sundays.

EDIT: If you choose to bump with a GA, especially a higher level, and wish for it to be featured on the active GA portion, I suggest a week or longer running length. It can sometimes be a number of days before I can edit this to add new GA's. It's also super helpful if it's in
formatI'm switching to a table format. Not required, but it would let me update the main post more, as it currently takes a while, which means less updates.
EDIT: Total number of GA's added to thread as of last update- 1687+
Note that this is likely much higher. From pages 54-94, I assume all trains to contain only 3 games, while they are likely much higher in number.
GA log of past record
I'm no longer going to keep a detailed log of past GA's. It was simply too much work.
The following, continuously updated, users are the real VIP's of this thread. They have contributed to the development of this ever growing thread, either through exceptional giveaways, an exceptional amount of giveaways, or relentlessly bumping the topic, even when it is/was in a period of disarray, and I wanted to thank them for it, not to cheapen anybody else that has contributed, but to celebrate them for it. Treat them kindly.
