You know what people hate most about F2P games? This game is about that.
I'm pretty sure you can guess the title of the game from that. It's been bundled one time.

This review—which in the new system officially doesn't exist anymore—seems to point out the important stuff. Also, if you can believe it, the game is at least short: http://steamcommunity.com/id/fantis6/recommended/416760/
(Keep in mind that his profile states he is available to make promos though.)

The review didn't go anywhere, it's just that the default settings are set to display only those purchased directly from the Steam store. One click to change the filter to show all types and you will see the review (assuming it matches your language settings).
Comment has been collapsed.
I might not mind the change to the new default so much, if we could make our specific selections stick, and have that also reflected in the overall score. In other words, let us choose how we want to see the scores. Steam can have their own default, but we should be able on an account by account basis, to change it.

BTW, are you calculating rating percentages now manually, or has Enhanced Steam been fixed yet, as ratings broke with the Steam update?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, didn't even realize there was a new review system until today (talk about sleeping, eh!), so I just did like I normally do. Hover over the "overall" and see the % out of how many reviews. The ones I took above are the "new" overall.
If I would need to take the 'real' overall, I would have to do it manually probably. Or just toss it in Groupees chat since the bot takes the old overall.. :X
Comment has been collapsed.
Never mind. I forgot about the tooltip showing the percentages. I'm so used to seeing things through Enhanced Steam, that I never used that. %-)

I would imagine one of the reasons for the changes to the defaults was to deter unscrupulous developers who try to game the system by manipulating the reviews, which they would do by giving out keys, so in that sense it seems reasonable. Is it really that big of an issue? It's not like the settings are obscure... they are right there in your face. I mean how hard is it to click in a circle? I can understand wanting to change the settings globally and have it be persistent, but it's hardly this huge deal that some people are making it out to be.

Laziness is indeed the keyword. That's kind of sad. I'm pretty sure there are various things that people do online on a day-to-day basis and exert more effort doing those yet don't necessarily give them a thought, let alone complain about them. Or maybe some people just like to complain for no good reason, which ironically, in cases like this would seem to require more effort than they were willing to put forth on the thing that they were complaining about. Oh well, people just make no sense sometimes ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Comment has been collapsed.
Meeh... The new system is just confusing.. I can see the points in their argumentation, and it does makes sense. Though it would be better if only the ones who were marked as "received for free" wouldn't count to the score. But of course people could just not tick that option to avoid. Bleh!

Yeah, looks good to me! Also it has nice emoticons and backgrounds :3 http://www.steamcardexchange.net/index.php?gamepage-appid-486170

Was actually waiting for blitz to start before getting it, so this saves me a bit of money :D.

There has been no blitz for the Labor Day bundle, which contains Bathory, yet:

The last day of the Back-To-School bundle is what you saw a notice for:

The rep from GameBundle always posts when the blitz is on.

My dilemma is that I wanted 3 games from the Labor Day GameBundle, so if I get Bathory here, will it still be worth it to get that.
Comment has been collapsed.
Depends on what the other 2 games are. If you are after JumpJet Rex, then I say go for it since that game is awesome :D.

I'm missing Orphan Dreams, Benji Challenges, and Bathory:

Hmm. Well you can always get the pre-order as a gift and if it ends up a dud, you can sell it off on groupbuys.
Comment has been collapsed.
True. Although maybe since this is a build-a-bundle (and so far it's not looking that good), I'll use my $1 coin to just get the games I want after it goes live.

I f steamgifts are handed out instead of keys ,would they count as steam purchases?
I was looking at a new game that has 4 positive reviews and i was just wondering .

This particular game might actually be genuinely good.

Hmm, I'm not too sure. Didn't look too much into it, but I would guess so. At least that would make sense imo. :]
Ooh, that game does look nice! secretly adds to wishlist :D
But it is quite a new game, and if you scroll down you see there are 5 reviews and all are from steam purchasers, and 0 key activations as of yet.

This one looks bad. What makes us think Grind Zones is in this one? What was the clue for it?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, it's only guesses so far! :)
The clue is right above the chart. ^^'
"You know what people hate most about F2P games? This game is about that.
I'm pretty sure you can guess the title of the game from that. It's been bundled one time."
Someone in Groupees' chat said because of the "grinding" therefore Grind Zones, but I'm more convinced about the maximize monetization. But well, both have been bundled once before so who knows.

That means that the game would have to be about grinding, not just have grinding in the name.
Comment has been collapsed.
Took a bit to catch context, but fair point- Else I'd have reason to hope for Groupees to finally recall that they used to bundle the occasional decent game, as well.
Also, while not inaccurate, it does take a bit of a jump to associate F2P with grinding, primarily because P2W isn't based in grinding- P2W is defined as "A payment model in which a paying player can gain a significant gameplay advantage or advantages over a F2P player that a F2P player cannot match through a reasonable amount of effort."
Of course, the grey area is what qualifies as 'reasonable', but the fact is, typically P2W is associated with.. well, for example, certain profit-hungry CCGs where the rarest cards can only feasibly be obtained by spending tons of money on booster packs.
By contrast, Dungeons & Dragons Online has a pay-to-play perspective, where content is locked to a degree that most would not consider feasible to unlock through play, but it's not pay-to-win, because none of the boosts you can buy affect a significant or exclusive benefit in character potency.
So, as that's a suggestion that's basically three steps out in left field, I think it's safe to say it's an unlikely contender. :P

oh well, HoG as a hint?
this can only get worse, hell, i'll get it anyway, cause i like HoG

Steam-exclusive hint: Thing that cooks bread?

Toast Time
Assume the role of TERRY (toast-ejecting recoil & reload system), a humble and solitary toaster
Champions of Breakfast
Play as different characters including the Toaster , Whisk, and others.

Very possible... though toasters don't make bread, they just toast it.
But I can't find a specific bread over game on Steam. So your guess is the best one!
Comment has been collapsed.
I've been having the same thought since the bundle went live.
I'm guessing it was either Foodtruck or Barnyard.
