Mainly because some people seem to be on here than on steam, it'd help in contacting people with their keys and such.

I doubt that as well... I mainly give away bundle spares, nothing high ticket like that (that's better trade fodder)

That and a black list wouldn't be a terrible thing to have.

you may not give a lot away, but there are multiple people who does - and they get enough begging comments on steam already from people who add them - now imagine if it wouldn't require them to accept invite - jut PMs on SG. Every time someone would put up some AAA game he'd get hundreds of begging PMs. I guess waiting for someone on steam to come online is much less hassle for you than every contibutor of SG deleting dozens of messages on a DAILY basis.

Well, begging is against the rules, so we could just report, delete the message and move on :)
I'd like to have PM's in steamgifts \o/

You can always just friend someone. If someone isn't likely to check their "New Messages" on Steam, they're probably not likely to be checking their "New Messages" on Steamgifts either.

Oh sure. I'm on here right now but not on Steam, but people who are willing to be contacted will act in kind either way. If I didn't want to respond to messages, I'd just ignore them either way.

You could send them a mail, right? That's how I contact with the winners who ain't accepting my friend request on Steam. They'll eventually check their e-mail at least once a day.

I did that yesterday after getting the e-mail about the winners. Though I get the feeling some people aren't as dillegent in checking their e-mails as others.
