Lemme test how generous you are, what is the most expensive gift you've ever given, in steam?
Two copies of Chivalry ($50 in total), if that doesn't count then Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition ($30). Also I'd like to know who's the generous soul who gave away a ~$800 worth gift. o_O

Probably either the Tomb Raider Collection($70 I think) or Cities Skylines Deluxe Edition($40 I think)... All giveaways were on sale though... I would love to give away something like Metal Gear Solid V but that's just so much money for one giveaway! Which is why I appreciate whenever I see games like that, I admire those people :3

Agree with you. respect people who spend more money to something that he doesnt want to own by himself

Yeah I mean I've given plenty of games I would have happily kept or are wishlisted. What I respect more is someone that just buys a game because it's highly wishlisted or is a new release no matter the price tag! i hope I can do this at least once in my time here :D

Shadow of Mordor GOTY - actually before it was GOTY and when base game + season pass still totalled at $70 (and when it was $20 at BundleStars instead of $15 ... ).
Followed by Unreal Deal pack & Sanctum 2 complete pack.
But yeah, all gotten while it was on good sales. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to afford those.

It's not the biggest, but I've gifted ten copies of Lilly and Sasha: Curse of the Immortals which are $89.90 in total, but actual cost is less than $1, haha. That GA is also memorable for triggering purchase-locks to my account for buying too many gifts of the same game. >.<

now i feel regret for not buying lilly and sasha :D

The item I gave with the highest retail value was Serious Sam Complete Pack, although my 20-copies giveaway of Secret of the Magic Crystals is worth almost the same. Next in line would be the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Grand Master Collection.
The one I actually paid the most for, however, was a pre-order copy of DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round.

my biggest was fallout 4 and its still running, cause its not released yet^^
i bought it for full price so i hope the winner will love the game^^
but most games i´m buying during sales or if i like a bundle
funny sidenote: i created the ga 2 weeks ago without any level restriction. there are only 153 entries and the ga is even unhidden and no puzzle needed^^

I've given away a few games, but that doesn't make me generous. I just like the community here and I value the friendships I've made with various people. Generosity is more than monetary value. It should account for your motivations along with the value of the gift in proportion to your income. For example, some people may only be able to giveaway a 5 dollar game once a month, but that's a lot of money for them because they make very little. They make sacrifices and that's what makes them generous.
