Well technically we really are late. The gingerbread and Christmas cookies sale in Germany is a very serious matter and usually starts in the beginning/middle of September. But my supermarket around the corner this year thought "LEEEEERRROOOOOOYYYY JEEEEENNNKKKIIIIIINS" at the end of August. Now I am proud owner of these babies...^^

No, they were smaller and more modest looking. The art on the box was something children book style. The boxes were about a size of a book with ~700 pages, if that helps to paint a picture.
I think the the theme usually was a tale.

Judging by my total inability to cook Polish cuisine like my mom does, a domineering one. Also, full atheist. At least thanks to the Bolsheviks I don't have to suffer through a weirdness of having a religious holiday as a main, universally celebrated one.

As you all can probably feel, Christmas is just around the corner. I’m really glad people of the North invented Christmas. One of the most joyous festivities, bringing people together. Just thinking that I was lucky enough to be born in the timeline where Christmas exists makes me smile #blessed. I think that if people celebrated Christmas more than once a year, there would be way fewer conflicts around the world. Who wants to fight on Christmas? Not me! And if Christmas were to be celebrated 3 times a year in the future, at the end of the year you could ask your friends “Have you done XXX-mas? Me too! Way to go!” and you could also share videos online with people who haven’t done it for some reason. 🎄
