How am i supposed to get a key of a game to giveaway directly from steam and no indirect sites?
or do i have to gift it or get off those sites

When you create a giveaway, you can choose between gifting the winner directly or sending a key through SG.

You can't do that, you'll have to wait until the giveaway ends and then contact the winner (you can check their linked Steam profile through their SG profile) and send the gift manually. When the winner accepts your gift on Steam, he will mark as received.
You can send the game in any way you want (Steam key, Steam gift, gift link from other website) as long as winner can activate it on Steam. You don't need to have the key ready from the beginning.

It's not possible to buy a game key directly from Steam.

Your options are to either

  • gift the game to the other person directly from your Steam account.
  • buy a Steam key from a third-party retailer and provide that key to the winner.

There's a bunch of resellers and shops that sell keys, as long as you don't have one of the old steam gifts in your inventory or happen to buy one of those 2- or 4-packs some games come in, it's impossible to gift directly through Steam the old way. Only option left AFAIK is adding the winner on Steam and gifting it directly to him.
