On another note Google uses some very smart algorithms to identify bots and prompt a CAPTCHA for suspicious users, some simplified versions of this kind of algorithm are also avaible online I think.

They don't want bots to buy thousands of bundles and have key resellers sell those games at full price later on. (Sites like G2A thrive on abusing bundles like that.) If they don't take some kind of measures to prevent bots, they will lose some developers and publishers deals and will have to lower the quality of their bundles.
