So does that mean we can fuck on clean sheets? I am not sure how to take your comment....
Maybe in the ass. I am willing if you want to have a go at it.

You quoted Baldur's Gate so I quoted more Baldur's Gate.
Comment has been collapsed.
I quoted myself. But that is probably where I heard it from without even knowing I heard it.. Weird.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yours was a quote from one of the male voicesets, mine was from Winthrop, the Candlekeep innkeeper. It's one of the first lines you'll hear in the game and is easily forgotten since you'll do so much after it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Thank you for explaining it. That is most likely where I did in fact hear it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Why would that be?
To stump bots/scripters and/or weed out people who mindlessly enter giveaways, but are so disinterested in the games they are entering that they can't be bothered filling in a captcha?
It's an inconvenience, and will be hated by many (does anyone actually enjoy filling in these things?) but it might be a useful option for some...
Comment has been collapsed.
Yea for the one or two that don't want the minimum requirements needed to receive level from their giveaways, that is who will want it and find it useful.
Comment has been collapsed.
Comment has been collapsed.
Nope, don't want this nor need it. I like being a human and doing human things. But thanks.
Comment has been collapsed.
No way! Not this crap! Captcha is an affront to human dignity.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not even then, I would just stop entering all together.
Comment has been collapsed.
Your choice.
On another note Google uses some very smart algorithms to identify bots and prompt a CAPTCHA for suspicious users, some simplified versions of this kind of algorithm are also avaible online I think.
This would leave humans unaffected and punish only bot users.
Comment has been collapsed.
Losing privacy to have simplified captcha? No thanks.
Comment has been collapsed.
But login to google does. And algorithm is quite simple - if you are login to google (and google spy on you) - simplified capcha, if not - full version. Don't want it.
Comment has been collapsed.
No one even talked about login to google. You should learn to read first, then comment. Google uses very advanced anti-bot algorithms, online you can find implementation of the same algorithm under GNU licence, so with available source code and NOT related to google in any way, just inspired to their efficient code.
Comment has been collapsed.
Google captcha algorithm is too easy to trip imo. I used to run into it all the time during college because of my search style when looking for obscure information about more advanced topics.

1) Bots are NOT against the rules.
2) Even if bots were against the rules - there is much better ways to detect and ban them.
3) Even captcha every 10 giveaways would annoy regular users much more then bots do.
Comment has been collapsed.
How about having captchas for making threads, that sounds like a better idea.
10 captchas for every 1 thread created.
Comment has been collapsed.
And why stop there, should implement it into comments also.
20 captchas for every 1 comment.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not trolling, proving a point. When is enough, enough? Bots are not the issue. Humans are.
Comment has been collapsed.
Best way of improvements I know - "Don't fix what isn't broken".
Comment has been collapsed.
^ see what happens when you fail captchas you don't post but a +
The 1 gets lost
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm leaving if that happens. Captchas have absolutely no place on forums.
Comment has been collapsed.
There is no way a real human wouldn't be able to tell that he was saying those to prove his point and not actually suggesting it... You're an advanced Anti-Bot bot, aren't you... :(
Comment has been collapsed.
arnt they illegal? if they arnt illegal i would think someone would have a forum post about where to get one.
like i hate thinking im missing giveaways for "game tycoon 1.5" cuz i really want th egame. if there was a way to enter for that giveaway even when im not online. that would be awesome lol. but i view boting as illegal so i wouldnt

The rules don't say they're allowed, either, so until the staff actually bothers updating the rules, I'm going to go with basic decency as my assumption of expected standards.
Comment has been collapsed.
If it is not forbidden - means it is allowed. Of course, rules can change anytime. This does not means that bots are something good though. But people that want everyone to enter captcha are evil for sure.
Comment has been collapsed.
I really want the games. I really win the games. I really play the games.
If you want, make a private invite only giveaway, and share it with yourself. Captcha that shit.
Comment has been collapsed.
Captcha is humiliation, not the effort. If you want people to make effort to enter your giveaways - create puzzle giveaways.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well Ekaros, even if this idea of an anti-bot CAPTCHA will never see the light, I think that your thread has served his purpose as a juicy black list source for every future viewer of this thread.
All those pro-bot supporters making up the weirdest excuses against even talking about a possible smart implementation of this feature are disappointing.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yea please blacklist me and don't take my free games, thanks. If anything it shows how deep you throat it.
edit* I am also curious why the OP is even worried about this since they have almost never created a public giveaway...
Comment has been collapsed.
Look I'm not even going that far to suggest actions against human controlled tools. You wanna use browser extensions? No problem as long as you are in front of your PC. I'm talking about 24/7 working bots, always searching for new giveaways to enter even when the owner is sleeping.
Comment has been collapsed.
And what about my slaves? If they enter giveaways when I'm sleeping - is this okay?
Comment has been collapsed.
Don't get it twisted I REALLY do understand the issue with bots. But suggesting I or us fill out some arbitrary captcha to enter too prove we are not some bots scamming. Well, that does not sit well with me. And since you , us, I didn't have to fill one out to be a member of this site (why do you think that is). Why even think it would be a good idea to include it into the coding for members to deal with when entering giveaways?
Comment has been collapsed.
Until it wants my phone number to text me too make sure I am in fact a human..... :|
You almost act like I just started using the Internet yesterday... shame really.
Comment has been collapsed.
Why would you say such nonsense? Maybe you didn't start using internet yesterday, but sure you have some issues understanding 3 lines of text.
In very SIMPLE words that even you can understand (I hope):
The system search for suspicious actions, it find something odd? Prompt a CAPTCHA, was it human? No harm done, he will solve it and continue, was it a bot? If it can't solve it will get stuck. GG WP
No phone, no social security number required, no sacrifice to some pagan idol.
Comment has been collapsed.
NO HARM DONE? Telling to someone that he acts not like a human do is an insult! How can you say that no harm done? My brother died from this!
Comment has been collapsed.
What next? You suggest surveillance cameras to check that user didn't close eyes when entering? If someone don't want to read description - you can't make him do this. Captcha won't help.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh, I'm okay with this. Turning sound off is easy. But no captcha, please!
Comment has been collapsed.
captchas to turn on PC. captchas to turn them off. captchas to eat. captchas to shit. captchas to have sex. captchas to captcha.
Comment has been collapsed.
Now my next idea, take this thread off of suggestions and place it on off-topic. Since that is where is was meant to be.
Comment has been collapsed.
Please stop, most of this is just opinions and should be taken as such, if you take it any more than that, then that rests on your shoulders alone.. And will require a captcha to weight you down.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's sad to see someone with such a horrible give/take ratio who thinks he understands what he's talking about... Lol, "every 'legit' argument?" You mean that 1? What an idiot...
Not to mention what you're talking about is different than what the OP is saying, as OP later stated he wants captchas on EVERYTHING, including forum posts and comments. And can you read? Because it was stated that the anti-bot detectors are fooled easily and don't work well, that sounds nothing like "reasons and durr".
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey little troll, what are you trying to achieve commenting on an 8 months old thread with such offensive posts?
To be honest I have no idea what you are responding to, this was a long, changelling and debated thread back then, it sure didn't need your fruitless troll-like opinions.
My post was a response to Adam and Ryzhehvost that were both having fun driving me mad, it was an heated argument, but nothing like your post, you are just offensive.
Anyway, I'm not taking the bait here, your post is just so full of inaccuracies it must be a failed troll attempt. For your information my field of study includes computer science and I personally worked with semantics reconnaissance software and turing machines, I did my homeworks, you Sir., can you say the same?
In the remote possibility that you are not trolling, I suggest you to hold back from posting further comments and to read the thread from the beginning trying not to skip anything. If you are not 12 years old you should then understand why your offensive posts are both inappropriate and inaccurate.
I'm done here, have a nice day.
Comment has been collapsed.
Apparently thinking that this will inconvenience legit users more than botters makes me pro-bot? I didn't realize everything was so black and white, but okay.
Comment has been collapsed.
Accusing us as pro-bot supporters is against the rules, you know.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, but you must complete 1000 captchas to get it. Fail at one and you must start over.
Comment has been collapsed.
I seriously don't get it, you want to torment your whitelist and groups? You have 1 public giveaway in the past 4 months for a game that was .02 cents...
Comment has been collapsed.
More .02 cent games? No, thanks, there were enough already, lol.
I know what you mean, but seriously, just no, stick to your private/group/whatever giveaways and leave the rest of us alone.
Comment has been collapsed.
Your logic = broken. It would just take longer to enter giveaways, but it wouldn't reduce the number of people that are entering. Bots can quite easily guess captchas too btw. The 'problem' would be the same except you have a lot of annoyed normal users.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, sure, adding an option that can be activated by the user is fine. If you love entering captcha, then I'm sure it will even be possible to add the option for one when posting on the forum. As long as the rest of us don't need to enter them that's fine by me.
Comment has been collapsed.
Adding an option to add a captcha so as to protect yourself against yourself from everything and anything you may post everywhere all over the Internet... I like this idea! Let's make this happen! Soon as we fill out these 10,000 captchas + your maiden name for the registration form.
Comment has been collapsed.
Even though I barely enter giveaway anymore I don't find it that good. Sure it will stop the autoenter bots/scripts, but I think the site has some little bigger issues to deal with first. Also this would be really annoying for the legit frequent giveaway participants.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'd go with a multiple-choice questions pertaining to the FAQ. Would force people to read the rules at least.
Comment has been collapsed.
As much as I hate captchas, having some way to prevent bots and people trying to join without opening the giveaway page would be great. The hard part is finding something effective that won't alienate the user base.
Comment has been collapsed.
Nope. Nope. Yes. Maybe. I don't think that applies. No. Nah. Yes.
Comment has been collapsed.
I like Humbles reCaptcha. Not sure if it would be possible to implement or even how it works. I like it better than typing all those annoying words.
Comment has been collapsed.
Why though? Am I transferring legal tender on this site?
Comment has been collapsed.
You must be ill if you like captcha. And, as to humble... solve captcha to pay? They don't want bots to give them money? They are crazy, I tell you, completely crazy.
Comment has been collapsed.
Comment has been collapsed.
They don't want bots to buy thousands of bundles and have key resellers sell those games at full price later on. (Sites like G2A thrive on abusing bundles like that.) If they don't take some kind of measures to prevent bots, they will lose some developers and publishers deals and will have to lower the quality of their bundles. And with so much stuff getting rebundled nowadays for lack of publishers willing to put their games in bundles, we certainly don't want the offer to get any lower.
Comment has been collapsed.
I can see this pissing a lot of people off..... and for that reason I am in!
Comment has been collapsed.
Seriously why are you so obsessed with that? How many times do you have to post it, lol?
... Do you have a captcha fetish?
Comment has been collapsed.
You do realize that this was posted 8 months ago right? I had merely posted it a few times in the thread so enough people would notice the giveaway.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's just funny how many times you posted it in this thread, that's all.
Comment has been collapsed.
(solved those captchas for fun despite knowing this was from a 2 year old thread that someone else necro'd today)

Please at least add option to have a Captcha for entering giveaway. I think this would be nice option to have.
