Just came here to bump. The thread's title was funny for some reason. I did this with other games in my head and it was worth a smile haha.

Man, I didn't get to play the game so I don't know this info and find googling answers distasteful. But eh, solid giveaway.

Well, I completed it. A rare opportunity for a game I actually want on this site! Lol.

I DO!!!!
Well, just came to answer the question seeing as I own the game and have been deeply loving it for about a decade xD
P.S. Had to do the puzzle, also, a bit of trivia about me- when I LARPed I chose Gangrel. I still have the embarrassing photos xD xD :D

It's got excellent writing and variability in the story, along with a really solid setting and memorable characters. I'd put the writing and style up there with Deus Ex, not quite as open, but put together just as well. The setting is less "classic horror" and more "the real word, but crappier because all the monsters are real." I think that style works very well with vampires, since they're the kind of monster that could easily live alongside us without us ever noticing. As for the characters, one of the first guys you meet is voiced by the same guy who did Bender from Futurama and he's just as solid in this game..

I didn't remember how to spell all of them, so I looked them up... and then saw you listed them. Oops. Wasted time there. Anyway, great puzzle, already own the game, so I'm not sure why I bothered with the puzzle other than liking VtM. Although, uh, for question 15, the clan in the answer isn't always "weak", it's specifically a subset of that clan that happen to be despised for being weak and there are those who are despised for being "thin bloods" in other clans also, though they're often disowned or killed off because they're, you know, harbingers of the end times. From the unofficial wiki (name removed, of course), "XXX have always plagued the clans, abnormalities to the Curse of Cain, without marks of his disfavor on them, leaving some XXX to speculate that they are indeed the original vampires, heirs to the legacy of the Second Generation and Caine himself (most of these XXX do not survive long after speaking their mind)." They were originally part of the game for the SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE crowd (imo) and the later stigmas for their background are only in "modern day" White Wolf settings.

Yeah, there are a couple of things in there that aren't exactly lore-accurate. You probably also realize that I left a couple of big things from the later parts of the game out. But as far as the game goes, it's a good starting point. As a little nod to people who know the setting, if you had typed in what you wanted to call them, that answer works too. A couple of the others also have alternate answers.

I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I knew all of these instantly. Thanks for the giveaway!

No one complained about not talking to TV news anchors ;)?

I removed my comment since it kind of gave away one of the answers, but that campaign ended up going out the window when we had not one but two people who thought playing Vampire Neo and killing people in public was a cool idea anyway...I have so many "horror" stories from trying to put together games in a small town.

That quiz jogged my memory and made me thirsty. Ahh, playing as a mage, good times :)

Hmmm, I seem to be stuck on 14, I only found one answer that fits the question but it isn't working, unless there's a spelling difference...

Yep, that's right, I'm giving away a copy of a game that I absolutely love: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
And all you have to do for it is solve this puzzle. It's asking about the various groups of vampires that you interact with in the game.
There are no entry restrictions, and I'm even going to be nice and give you every single answer so that you know what to google. Why am I being so nice? Because this isn't meant to be hard at all, it's just meant to give you an idea of the world inside the game and give you a frame of reference for what's going on. Plus, being able to solve the puzzle will show me that you're interested in the game and have an idea of what you're getting into, so I can feel good about giving it to someone who doesn't just want a +1 to their steam game count.
Here are the answers in alphabetical order: Assamite, Brujah, Caitiff, Gangrel, Giovanni, Lasombra, Malkavian, Nagaraja, Nosferatu, Ravnos, Setite, Toreador, Tremere, Tzimisce, Ventrue
The giveaway ends at midnight PST tomorrow. Just in time to give you something to play for halloween.
EDIT: I just wanted to add a thank you to everyone solving the puzzle, entering the giveaway, and talking about the game. Getting people hyped up was exactly what I intended, but I didn't expect so many people to get into it. You guys are the best.
