From the quick look I had time to give there's not a huge quantity of games of my interest discounted, and I must add the "what if I find this in a Humble Choice in a few months?" syndrome (it will end up releasing in the midst of the sales this time round, by the way); for example, I'm not sure about buying Blade Strangers because of it.

Going through daily queue of games does not issue card, even when it says it does ... you will not find it in your inventory, even though it says it has been received and to come tomorrow. Going through another queue does not help either.

No, you still get the 3 cards per day by doing the queue 3 times. However, there seems to be bug where the 3 cards aren't being given. Hopefully they rectify this as soon as they can.
Of course, it would be a Steam super sale without a glitch or two occurring. ;)

You might be thinking of the free sticker. You get one of those per day.
The Discovery Queue has always given 3 cards per day (you have to watch the queue 3 times, however). When I went through 3 times, it said I got a card each time. They just haven't dropped into anyone's accounts yet.

Yep! It just means that you get one every time you complete a Discovery Queue. You're able to do it 3 times in total. You can do it more times that than, but you only get 3 cards max each day.

It says the same message each time, as you get 1 card for each queue. That being said, we'll only know for sure once the glitch is fixed and people are awarded whatever card(s) they should have received for doing the queues.

It's very strange...
It seems like most games require that you own them, but there are also exceptions like The Witcher 3 or DOOM Eternal. I don't own those, but I could purchase stuff from those games.
On the other hand I can't find some games that I own wich have backgrounds, etc. :/
