What if, instead of invites, when you came to the website you could make an account, but not enter giveaways. Then, if you make a giveaway and someone wins it, you will be given a full account. This will let the website expand and bring new giveaways at the same time. Or it could be both invites and this, or whatever.

Good idea. Can't say for sure if this will bring in many, but i suppose it's a win-win situation.

I think at least some people would join from it because if they see all the free game opportunities they will realize its a good investment, especially if they give away a cheap indie game.

That sounds like a good idea to me. Although it does seem sort of like a "rich people" firewall of sorts... people who have no games to give away wont be able to get in, which are the people that would likely benefit from the giveaways the most.

That's why I added that invites could still be used.

Great idea, should be more limited invites though.

Seems interesting. I guess the intent is to make sure the ratio between givers and takers stays balanced and encouraging more giving than taking.

People already need an invite to get on here.. ( and they will most likely be hard to get for a while..) We don't need them going through more hassle.

Well I was saying if you put up a giveaway (and once it ends) you could get on without a invite as long as you don't cancel it.

I like the idea that some sites have, to keep referrals in line. If someone you invite abuses the system or is found entering for things they already have in their library, both accounts would be looked down on. It would really cut down on the abuses. I'm a bit more stringent than most, though -.-
