Hi :P I don't know if this is my graphics card's problem (msi gtx 770) or my monitor's problem (Asus PB238Q 23.0" Monitor), but I've tried all different types of connection and I'm getting this no signal problem. The gpu fan is spinning and I am new to building a pc since I've always bought prebuilts.

My build this includes tax and shipping :P but anyway, the mobo does not have an onboard gpu and it does support my cpu (checked online). I just don't know if my parts are doa or if I need to download the drivers for my gpu or I connected the wrong parts. I can take a picture if you guys want. Also, my ram isn't shipped yet so I borrowed it from my old pc (don't know if that's compatible)

If you have other screen try connect and download all graphic card and other screen drivers.

I didn't buy an optical drive :/ are you sure the drivers aren't included with the gpu? Like not the newest one but at least one of the older ones. I also tried to connect the pc to my tv which was connected to my other pc and it had no signal. I trid connecting the older pc to my monitor and that didn't give signal too

Are you connecting the monitor to the gfx and not the onboard?

use the onboard graphics while you are setting it up. once you get things set up switch over to your gfx card. also make sure your cable is working correctly

If before getting the GPU everything was running fine, then you HAVE to check what the priority for the BIOS in terms of display is. If not it will attempt to display through the onboard graphics, and of course, will display nothing in return.

Well, have you tried connecting it to another monitor? Does it work? Tried changing the cable? Tried both DVI/HDMI connections?

Also, don`t take it wrong, but are you sure you connected the cable on the PC to your dedicated graphic card slot? Do you have an onboard graphic card?, have you tried connecting the monitor to the onboard card? Does it work this way?

If you just build new PC and never run it you maybe just getting no signal bc bad placed or incompatibile ram = no signal, bad CPU = no signal, sometimes missing aditional power supply for gpu (or bad placed) = no signal.

I am well aware of the ram since I am borrowing it from my old pc right now and my new ram from Amazon isn't shipped to me yet

Do you remember what your older PC was? At least the name of the motherboard/name of ram (or just list the long numbers written there).

yes the motherboard is IPIEL-LA3 (Eureka3) and I only know that it's an 8gb ddr3 ram

Then, unless the RAM is screwed, it seems that the problem could either reside in the GPU, the connections, or the motherboard prioritizing the iGPU first, or maybe even the PSU now that i think of it.
If you can, please tell me what values the 12v rail displays on one of the sides of the PSU, and what is the said power it can provide in general.

It might help if you'd list your whole specs.

Try connecting the monitor to the integrated gpu first (any other dvi/hdmi in the motherboard), if it runs, then you need to configure the BIOS to disable the iGPU and only use the dedicated graphics card. Regardless of the fact that your ASrock does not have an integrated GPU, your CPU does (probably an i3/i5/i7).

Did you connect a power supply to the graphic card ? Usually it's a 6 pin(2x3) connector.
Some motherboards require to connect power supply with 20/24 pin connector and additionally with 4pin(2x2) 12V connector.

Make sure that you did connect a PC Speaker, it should beep if errors appear during POST.
Check the mobo manual to find out what these beeps mean.

Connected power to GPU?

Things you could try:

  • Different cables if you have any,
  • Different display (other monitor, TV),
  • Different GPU if you have a spare one

Also I don't think a RAM problem would give you a no signal error.

Problem with RAM may give "no signal" statement on monitor.

I've build 1000+ PC's and I've seen it many times.
