How do I thank someone after winning a giveaway?

I normally put "Thanks for the game" in the giveaway itself, and most times the creator will reply there.

You can post on the giveaway, he will get notified :P

Make sure you read the giveaway description, some people don't want a thanks at all, least not in the giveaway description and some will add special rules for if you do say something in the comments and win they will reroll. But others will have rules that if you don't say something in the comments, they will reroll.

So ya read the description of the giveaway.

Sometimes you can thank people if they add you and give you the game that way. But if they don't add you, and just send the keycode though the site, that might mean they don't want you contacting them.

Basically play it by ear.

I've always sent an e-mail to thank for the giveaway (unless they added me in steam).

get the address from ip. call swat and report a kidnapping in that address. when swat team arrives, hug one of them and stick a post-it, which you wrote "KICK ME", to his/her back. the team members most probably won't remove it because they need a couple of laughs in their lifes. hopefully that post-it will fall off at the arrest and the apprehended giveaway creator will read the other side of it, which reads "thank you kindly for the game. :)".

whenever happens to me to win a giveaway, I always leave a 'thank you' in the comments
and if the creator contact me in person, then I thank him/her personally
