The game feels a little bit short. The story is good, you'll wonder what will happen next. And if you love hunting for collectibles, this game have plenty of that. You can collect coffee thermos and manuscripts.

Aha, I'm used to hunting many collectibles. It seems a lot of games implement that sort of mechanic on one scale or another these days. Will see a few other peoples opinions before I rush to make a decision, coupons last till the 20th anyway I think.

Alan wake is one of the best games i played. The DLC however.. i didn't even took the time to beat the dlc >< it feels like a whole different game than Alan Wake.

I need some help, I won a coupon code on Autumn Seal but I can't activate it. How will I do? I tried doing it like activating a game but not worked.

If you are looking for a scary horror, don't take it. It's not scary at all. It's more of an action game with, let's say, interesting story, but it gets annoying.
I was happy to finish and uninstall it.
I didn't play the American Nightmare though

Normally I wouldn't partake in a game that seems potentially
frightening, but Alan Wake intrigued me and I absolutely loved it.
It's one of my favorite games.

My game of the year so far. It has all the elements of a great mystery-supernatural movie/series.

Its an amazing game. I picked it up on sale a while ago and LOVED IT. Though I haven't finished it...
The story is great, the gameplay feels more or less realistic. The elements of light and dark are awesome. The silly twilight zone esque episodes that you catch on TV are so cheesy but soooo great.
I say pick it up. OR if not now, wait until the next sale, it'd probly be cheaper then.

It's the game with on the best stories in the last years. And the atmosphere...with the play of shadows and the superb music really helps you get inmersed in the story.
But if you are already full of unplayed game you probably could wait for it to drop in price and get it cheaper in the future. Just a suggestion.

A little bit repetitive gameplay but awesome atmosphere and story and the original Alan Wake is faaaar better than American Nightmare, American Nightmare got boring because you play the same levels 3 times ;)

Great story, great graphics and extremely polished but very repetitive. You have literally seen all there is to the gameplay in the first half an hour. I loved the atmosphere but it doesn't vary at all and by the end of the game I was sick of the gameplay. You are in the forrest/country town the entire game and it does get a little boring.

As everyone says, the enemy variation is very limited - but that doesn't detract from what is an excellent, plot-driven game. It's not about what you're shooting, it's about why. Well worth £15, especially given that you get the soundtrack (beautiful) and American Nightmare (which I haven't tried, but have heard good things about).

So I got two vouchers from the Autumn Seal. One for Alan Wake Collector's Edition and one for American Nightmare. When I click to use the 'Collector's Edition' one it actually says it works on the Franchise pack which saves a little more too, anyhow, I digress.
Is Alan Wake actually any good? It'd cost ~£15 using this coupon for the franchise pack. My only worry is I already have a lot of games in my backlog, albeit a lot of them are short Indie games. However I'm worried my PC backlog will end up much like my Xbox one (90+ unplayed/completed games).
I guess I want to know if people found Alan Wake an enticing game which they were able to enjoy? I've become quite cheap lately when it comes to buying games and £15 feels like a big spend for me these days! :)
