Mystery Booster Pack

I've just found a Portal 2 booster pack in my inventory, but I have only unlocked 2 of the portal 2 cards. The inventory notification should have been for a summer trading card, but instead I seem to have picked up this. Any ideas why?

Why should the notification been for a summer trading card? Summer trading cards don't drop anymore.

I voted a few times from mobile while I was away from my computer , so by my calculations, it would have been my 8th card drop. That's what I was expecting when I opened steam today, when I got back to my computer

mmmh well i didnt knew you could get boosters from games you havent collected all the cards... but maybe you can... the faq of the steam trading cards its terrible...

Valve have already stated that those cards have stopped dropping with the end of the sale.

Well, considering that is shouldn't be happening at this point (or I'd have an extra card or two myself from purchases, to say nothing of crafting), I find it difficult to believe this.

Could be true. If one's Steam profile level wasn't high enough to recieve cards for voting but they reached level five by the end of the sale, they should've recieved all their cards they got from voting the next time they press "Vote" button. There is a possibility that there was no next "Vote" button for them. In that case next purchase could do the trick, which could happen pretty much any time.
