Anime Recommendations!!

I enjoyed the first season of Love, Chuunibyou, and Other Delusions. It's weird, but it is pretty funny and has some great moments.
Nobunagun is a fantastic action show that my weebish friend recommended me. It's over the top and satisfying.
There's also Anohana too if you want to cry like a baby at the end.

My list is a bit older, which I explain later. :)

Cowboy Bebop is a must. Absolute Must.
Trigun (Excellent Comedy with some serious notes)
Berserk (But be careful, it's graphic)
Serial Experiments Lain (Very twisted and convoluted)
FLCL (Very Strange but funny)
Ouran Host Club (Cute and hilarious)
Gungrave (Dark...)
Fruits Basket (Cute and funny)
Read or Die OVA (Hilarious with a cute female librarian protagonist)
Gunslinger Girl (Interesting and strange)

Movies:
Perfect Blue (Dark story)
Akira (Classic, but though badly interpreted, still fun to watch)
Vampire Hunter D (Classic)

I can't remember most of the rest of them, right now... I went through the top 1000 on that site, to rec things I saw that were fun.
Anyways... I stopped watching years ago, hence very few things just pop to my mind.

Don't know if it was said already but, Code Geass, Code Geas Lelouch of the Rebellion, Kiba are all very good ones :D

I see you have seen some gore anime, so I'll suggest watching:

• Shiki
• Elfen Lied
• School Days (Didn't see that myself, but I've heard good critics about this anime)

Now if you liked Death Note I'll suggest Code Geast which is fairly similar anime (from the point of view of the main character) and if you are into Sword Art Online you can try Log Horizon.

Some more suggestions not based on the anime you have already watched:

• Berserk
• Claymore (Both this one and the above one are dark anime and have a serious plot, which means no gag)
• Kaiji (Its about gambling. The only problem I had with this anime was the animation. It's not bad don't take me wrong, it's just strange because it's based on the manga and the manga has a strange drawing style)
• Baccano! (I've watched it some days ago and I was kinda amazed. In the first 5-8 episodes you are like WTF? You don't understand shit of what's going on, but latter on the whole plot unveil and you understand how everything is connected)

I almost never watch anime nowadays, I guess I kinda grew out of it.
The last one I watched was AnoHana.
My friend suggested this to me and said insisted I would cry.

I didn't. But that's because I'm a heartless bastard.
I almost did though.

Absolutely beautiful soundtrack.

It's also a "slice of life" type anime, in case you're curious as to whether or not it's up your alley.

Clannad and Steins;Gate

My favourite are Psycho-pass, Deat Note and Steins;Gate. You might give a try Darker Than Black, Psychic Detective Yakumo, LaMB (it's a 40 minutes animated movie with a great potential, unfortunately they killed the whole story with the ending... Still it's worth a try).

Ergo Proxy was fine but I have to watch ending... I do NOT recommend Monster as it is very slow anime. It was a struggle to go past the beggining for me. And by begginig I mean like 15 episodes. Action isn't much faster then. The ending is dissapointing. But I loved Grimmer, though :P

Beelzebub is a funny and ridiculous anime. Sadly they had to finish it earlier .

Hunter x Hunter has everything i ever wanted from a Shonen. If you want to watch it I recommend the 2011 version.

Terra Formars (it's pretty new anime like attack on titan), only 13 episodes(waiting for sequel(when new episodes come out, same with attack on titan)).
Kuroko no Basket (about basketball :) if you like basketball, you will like this one)
Grappler Baki (if you like fighting anime(real fighting in a ring, free style, tho(kung fu, karate..)), But when you finish you will be sad that there's no sequel.)+Hajime no Ippo another good fighting anime.
Code geass (just check it out, don't mind the mechs as the base story isn't around them.(just so you know and don't think: stupid mechs anime))
Hellsing Ultimate(about nazi zombies, kinda casual anime. some might not like it. 40 minutes 1 episode, so you might get bored)(better graphics than hellsing, but don't really know the difference.)
Baccano! (don't really know what to write here...)
High school of the dead (kinda sexual(girls..), about zombies and high school students)
Kiseijuu Sei no Kakuritsu (kinda nice anime, about parasite(like sent from god))
Death Parade (about death, nice anime, short)
Zankyou no Terror (interesting, not much to say)

taking into consideration that all the generic ones have been mentioned.. try Shimoneta - new one and its hilarious, the literal title is "Shimoneta: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn’t Exist"

Desert Punk - it's also hilarious and action packed.. it's all about guns money and boobs

despite the fact it might have been mentioned 200 times already.. FullMetal Alchemist - it's the best anime i've seen to date

my fav anime movie though (not counting studio ghibli movies) is Akira, always worth a watch

If you like the more serious stuff, Gankutsuou, Monster and Requiem for the Phantom are all pretty fantastic.

A really little known anime is Planetes and it is one of the few series in which I feel nostalgia for the characters and miss them months later of watch it. Probably one of my favourite animes.
