This is how most any gaming communities that are not centered around a specific game/franchise/sub-genre work though. It is not about the game's actual quality but its internet/marketing fame.

(I'll be honest: I never remember who is the publisher for Obsidian. It might actually be backed by an AAA company, in which case it should be the newer one.)

Whatever it is i'm surprised that Tyranny took a lead. It didint have that much hype behind it (heck i barely knew it was releasing) + it's game from the age past,but for some reason it seems be doing very well.

When a niché title gets popular enough through the small fanbase, it gets picked up by a bunch of hipsters riding the trend, then it gets big enough in the public. This is why Isaac is now a smash hit but almost no other 2D dungeon crawler (heck, by now not even 3D ones like Fallout 4) are that popular (or even known), unless they are advertised to the death.

I guess you are right. These 'trends' ,i can never put my mind behind them. But i guess this one ,as much as it is trend, is good one. We got at least 3 great cRpg games in last years out of this (and one more is coming in 2017). That makes me a happy piggy boy.

Well… too big to be an indie, too small in revenue and published games to be among the top league. It is… weird situation. But for some reason continental European publishers liked to fall in this strange in-between state. =/

PDX is worth about $600 million. That's about twice the budget for GTAV. I think those numbers give a decent impression. ;)

Usually Farmville........ehhhmmm, I meant Stardew Valley wins. But yeah, you're correct, although the latest AAA game is Watch_Dogs 2. But both Dishonored 2 and Watch_Dogs 2 are good games, so at least they're voting for some good games.

The moment when I have every good game I want. xD I voted for Planet Coaster then, since it looks really good. I would vote any other choice than Farmville. :B

Oh gawd, this is so hard. So many great titles to choose from. Tyranny, Shadow tactics and Civ 6 are all games high in my wishlist. However my vote goes to Planet Coaster, already have it and it's amazing, gotta spread the cult!

Sadly, XCOM2 is not in the list. I might just get it from HB monthly though. The current deal is so sweat!

I wish there were top 2 or 3 choices. I know everyone is hyped about Dishonored 2 and Tyranny and although I do wish for those games as well, Fallout 4 is still on top of my list, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
