Many DLCs don't require the base game to enter. It's only true for a couple of the more popular DLCs

go to steamcalculator.com and insert his profile id there, you will be able to see what he owns on his steam account

well anyways i sent him an email now its a waiting game for a week, fine with me ive been having to reroll this 5th time i think now because alot of the people that entered didnt have the base game ARRRG!!
