So the apparently Kenyan lawyer wants re-trial of Jesus Christ and conviction of people responsible for this unlawful crucifixion. This seems too stupid to be real yet I did not find link to onion or any site that would say "this is a lie". I'm curious, can this be real (I hope it is not)?

Some ppl still think there is a god that created earth in seven days and evolution is a lie..so who cares, let them praise to their god and do good things on earth so that they'll get in heaven afterlife, a bit foul play. :)

This really has nothing to do with any kind of god, though. It's about a guy who, whether of his own will or not, threatened to usurp power from the Roman Empire and was subsequently executed because it's what the people wanted, despite documented evidence that the judge didn't see any reason for capital punishment.

Granted I'll probably catch a lot of flack from some people for making this comparison, but it would be like the judge in the George Zimmerman trial saying "OK, despite the jury finding you not guilty, there are a lot of people on internet forums who want you to be hanged, so I guess that's what I'll do."

Though, to be fair, this is just a lawyer trying to get his 15 minutes.

Based on this comment you seem just as ignorant as your theist counterparts.

I don't see many people backing you either.

Having an opinion is good, but acting all uppity about is not, no matter which side are you on.

There's actually a book about Jesus' trial. I heard it's pretty interesting but I haven't read it.
