Almost 7 years ago they gave it free through "On The House" program .. a solid game in the BF series.

Tbf "On the House" was kinda a joke .. most of the time it had PopCap games or really old games
Also they did make giveaways after they terminated "On the House":
They gave away the Premium Passes for both BF4 & BF1 during "Road to BFV" .. they do that with every BF game
They gave Sims 4, Mass Effect 2, stackable codes of 1 month of Origin Access Basic EA Play
Rocket Arena was given away just a little bit recently
All those are giveaways they made -that I'm aware of- which were after the termination of "On the House"

Seven years?? Yikes! I have it in my Origin account, so I must have picked it up then. Maybe some decade I'll actually play it...

Didn't see anyone post it
your Amazon Prime account
That's presumably just because SG's community has a pretty firm trend of keeping any non-game or non-Steam content into a single thread, when possible. In this case, that'd be this thread. That's not to say making a new thread isn't potentially favorable, but when it's a non-Steam, regular subscription service and you're only referencing a single game for this month's sub, it does feel a bit unnecessary if it's already been mentioned in its main thread. :)
(Side note, it is very much not "[Free]" despite how easy it is to get Amazon Prime without paying. The title feels rather misleading, as-is. :S Perhaps consider "Free with Prime" or similar. Or, to completely avoid confusion, you could just note it as "Amazon Prime".)

Not free. Also why would I sign up with Amazon and give that asshole Bezos money. OP please edit the thread's title, this is highly misleading.

Fair enough but it is also not available in all countries. You can get Amazon Prime Gaming with Prime Video in most countries (almost 200) but if a person isn't interested in Prime Video (maybe they want to pay only for Netflix :D ) then they wouldn't have Prime Gaming if they live in a country outside of the 17 which have their own Amazon store websites. They obviously wouldn't have Amazon Prime then.

According to a Quora answer:
"There is no charge for the first month under the free trial agreement. When you sign-up for that free trial, Amazon places a digital service charge for $1 to validate the account but Amazon never claims that $1. The yearly membership (or monthly) will initiate AUTOMATICALLY at the end of the 30 days."
Not sure why $2 for your side, but the amount should return back after the trial (hopefully).
