Day of Defeat and Red Orchestra 2 are still highly played in the Steam community.

Battlefield 1942. It's free to play now, has a pretty good Omaha Beach map. It's still active.

I'm looking for a WW2 FPS offering a solid D-Day/Omaha Beach map/mod. I know there was one for Red Orchestra OST Front but it's getting pretty dated, I'm not sure if people are still even playing it. Too bad there isn't one for Red Orchestra II as far as I know.
I'm looking for something recent with lots of players if possible. I've just visited the forum of Iron Front: Liberation 1944 and everyone says not to buy it.
Any popular mods/games you would recommend?
EDIT: Has anyone tried the Invasion 1944 mod for Arma 2? Gameplay looks pretty sweet.
