Windows 8 problems with steamgifts/steamgifts plus?

I've been having issues with steamgifts not loading properly on my windows 8 machine. My windows xp 32-bit laptop works just fine with firefox or chrome using steamgifts plus. My windows 8 64-bit desktop has been a problem. Here is the list of events:

  1. Steamgifts enhanced working dandy with chrome on win 8
  2. Randomly, SG:E stops working, and the featured giveaway displays a glitched picture
  3. Installed steamgifts plus with chrome, works for a few days, then does the same thing
  4. Installed steamgifts plus with firefox, works for a few days, then does the same thing

Totally at a loss for why this might be happening, but it's been working fine on my laptop with xp, and I don't have any other issues with my desktop. Any ideas?

Wouldnt be a windows 8 problem. I also have win8-64bit with chrome and works fine for me.

It can't be a problem with Windows, there must be something with the addon or the browsers. Maybe there is a setting in the addon that makes the problem, try to clear your browser cache and cookies.
