Will this work? I don't have an XBOX or a Playstation or whatever is needed. Is it compatible with Gamecube? Thanks if you know.

How would you plug a Gamecube controller into a PC?

You can't just directly plug a Gamecube controller into a PC, but there's adapters on the market that let you plug a Gamecube controller into a USB port.

Mayflash makes a 3-in-1 adapter that accepts Gamecube, PS2, and XBox controllers, if you're in the market for something like that, I'd recommend one.

Yes, I recommend that one as well.
I have tested it on the following: 2 official GC controllers and a 3rd party Konig.
So far, it works like a charm ;)

An Ebay search will furnish you with USB adapters for any controller you can think of :)

I haven't used it, but it's probably either just straight up compatible with any controller, or only XInput devices.

If it's compatible with any controller, then you'll just have to configure it. If it's only compatible with XInput devices, you'll have to get a controller that uses XInput, like a wired Xbox 360 controller. There's also an XInput emulator called "X360ce" that you can use to fool it into thinking your controller is an XInput device though. I've set that up successfully with a Gamecube controller before.

(PS, good taste in controllers.)
