Chaning E-Mail on Steam.

Okay for some reason I've been trying to change my e-mail, but it isn't working. Okay first off I do understand that you go to

Settings-->Account---> blah blah I get it.

The problem is even though I click verify my e-mail doesn't change. I've also restarted steam and whatnot, nothing is happening.

Okay so I file a support ticket to steam and they say this: In order to investigate this issue, we must verify your ownership of the CD Key.

Any idea what CD Key they're talking about?

Any CD Key you've entered in the past. They want you to probably have the sheet it came with in a game along with the support ticket number written on it.

CD Key? I've never bought one unless it was an indie bundle key. Do those work? O_o''
