The new Forza Horizon 4 demo is out

For all racing fans, the Forza Horizon 4 demo can be now downloaded from the windows store. I was actually surprised that the game runs really great! Everything maxed out, i get a stable 60 fps with an R9 Nano and image quality is impressive.
Besides, the game seems really fun, just like all the other Horizon games. Does the game run well on your configs?

Oh nice, thanks for the info. Will give it a try. Horizon 3 was already pretty good.

For me it ran even better than FH3 where I had around 40 fps, here I had 50-60 fps. Might be because I updated my mobo bios and overclocked my CPU now.

FH3 had some issues at launch that they eventually fixed some patches later. FH4 (at least the demo) is way better optimized.
I can even run the game at 4K with a stable 30 fps.

I don't know when it was patched but I got it around Christmas 2016 so a couple months after release and I played until summer 2017.
A stock i5-2500k and 8GB of RAM is below recommended requirements so it's not too surprising, I wasn't playing on low either (medium-high probably)

Anyway you should definitively run the game at the highest settings. I have a 4440 and R9 Nano, so it's not that different from your config.
The only options that i've reduced that were taxing the most are MSAA (disabled) and ambiental occlusion (set to medium). It works flawlessly at 60 fps.

Here since I just wanted to check there wasn't any major issue, I left the default settings (with the dynamic settings on too), but once the game is out I'll check the settings in more details
