End of The Year Contributions [Giveaway Group]

I like that you opened a giveaway group, too (or in the first place).
BUT:
Is this idea of a group for giveaways so unique? Even I had that idea but never created one.
The idea of: taking a bunch of people and everyone buys something for someone is by far not a new idea... see "Secret Santa". So why should take ANYONE credit for creating such a group? And.. why do care?

And if it is the point because all giveaways should end at a specific time, then: Lol. It is OBVIOUS, that giveaways should end exactly 1/1/2013 0:00 when you do a "Secret Santa"-Group for the new year (or 21th Dec 0:00 for the "end of the world").

It is not YOUR idea, you just had that idea, too. I appreciate every sense of kindness and wish you best luck for your group, but don't claim that idea for yourself. And other people should stop flaming and bashing this group. I never heard of the Simultaneous Giveaways group until yesterday, neither did Server(what he said), so he copied nothing.

Alright, first of all, very nice looking post, tragikos! At least it compensates for the nonsense written in it.

I'm getting a little tired of all this accusations of stealing an idea. I didn't have an idea for THIS group at the first place. My idea was different, so I will just write it how it was.

On 16th of December while browsing the pages of Steamgifts and not seeing many giveaways with good winning chances I was going to create my own public giveaway, when I suddenly thought: The Mayan End of The world is coming! Why not create a group where everyone will have to do a giveaway in order to "survive the end of The World", and so that all the giveaways would end "together with the World", many people will get decent chances to win lots of great games, it would be fun! I had no idea there already was something like this, but for the New Year. I created a group, and before the giveaways ended I gathered many members of the group in a chat and we had a lot of fun waiting for the giveaways to finish and then discussing what everyone had won ;) And then at some point somebody suggested: "Hey, it was so much fun, why don't we do it again? We can make giveaways for the New Year this time." And many guys supported this idea. I don't know if the suggestor or any of the supporters knew about your group. I was thinking for a while, I did not totally support it at once since I had nothing to give away at the moment. But well, I thought, I can buy something, it's a good idea to repeat the fun ;) We discussed some more things concerning the name, the rules and everything. It is just a coincidence if any of my group's rules are the same as yours, or we can just call it logic -_- Yes, I found out about your group soon after I had created mine and there were like 10 people in it already and I did feel a little awkward after I realised how similar our groups were. But it was done and now we have to finish what has been started.

As for the picture, which "says a lot about that" in your opinion, it only says that I was grateful to the guy who tried to help the other guys to set the ending time correctly. I honestly didn't even look where he got that info, and I didn't care for it.
