Yes, it was two separate, though kinda brother-sites until SG2.
The peaks are obviously the time of sales - maybe they little worse, active users getting the cheaper games - then region locking happened in 2014 December that sealed the deal.

2) Why did trades "Per Month" drop by 85% since the 2013 peak?
