Welcome to my world: whenever I see a winner's email address end in ".ru", my stomach tightens in a knot. I have no idea why, but the vast majority of the problematic winners I encounter are Russians. (Well, okay, I have a few ideas. None of them are remotely politically correct.)
If the gift was rejected, make a screenshot of it, upload it to somewhere, and send a reroll request to support. The winner obviously doesn't want it (cynical remark: because he probably realised it'd take more effort to sell it…), and if they would have any problem activating it (should not be as ROW games can be activated anywhere as long as the game itself is not banned in a country) they would have responded. Just move on.

Same with me, seems like every other of my low level giveaways is won by someone from russia. And if there is ever a problem with some one of the winners or they're just extreme leechers it's usually one of them. Kinda wish for a way to blacklist whole countries sometimes. I even thought about timing my short giveaways so they favour SA, NA or Asian people ;)

Russian isn't a race

In Greece, we use the word "racist" with a more generic meaning. So, when I say that someone is racist, it means that he thinks that a specific group of people are inferior. Example: He may think that homosexuals are inferior, or Indians are inferior, or Muslims are inferior, or emo people are inferior, etc. I know that you're not supposed to know what I mean when saying this word, because that's only a Greek meaning, but I'm really not gonna learn 1000 more words to describe each kind of racism. xD

You call homophobic people racists? O.o That's weird. People would frequently misunderstand you.

Yep, we do. Greek meaning, as I said. So, nobody will misunderstand me in Greece.

I didn't say it in Greek though. :B xD Anyway, you can't see the forest for the trees. Does it matter how I say it? They're all bad people, no matter if they are xenophobic, sexist, racist, etc. I just say it the way I learned it - and this way isn't wrong here. Would I give a f*ck if homophobic people would get offended because I called them racist? Nope, I wouldn't. They're bad people too, so I don't care about how they would feel. xD

Fortunately, that's not correct!

Many people say different things here in our country, even people who didn't go to school to learn basic stuff. It's the land of democracy at its highest and lowest. However, It doesn't mean they are correct or even further that majority ensures the validity of an argument. ;)

The correct word is xenophobia.

In English: Racism has a specific meaning, it could never mean something else. People do use many words wrongfully because they don't know other words that describe the fact appropriately.

Επειδή μάλλον σε πειράζει που τα γράφω στα ελληνικά, θα σου τα γράψω στα αγγλικά.
I answered about that in your previous comment. Correct or not, we all use this word with multiple meanings. You can't deny that the majority of people here use it like this. If it's correct or incorrect, I shall agree with you, that it's obviously incorrect. But don't tell me that we don't use it like that, because that's totally untrue. xD I even use tones at τού and τής (when needed obviously) or the double tones (for example, προτεραιότητά της), which most Greeks don't even know that they should do. :P

But I totally agree with you! As i mentioned earlier as an example, many Greeks use the word "malakas" for everything when they could use 100 other words, mainly because they don't know their existence and/or meaning. :p

Either way it's just pure illiteracy. ;)

Well in this case hating or not trusting people from Russia is not racist,its xenophobia.

Thank you for the English lesson, although that's a Greek word. Still, we prefer to use the word "racist" though for everything. It's easier. XD Anyway, thank you.

Well nobody does that. But, there are people who do use the word "racist" as they practically don't know the meaning of this and other words. They could as well say "malakas" , it would be very possible due to their (lack of basic) knowledge. ;)

Δεν ισχύει; Δε χρησιμοποιούμε δηλαδή την ίδια λέξη για τους ομοφοβικούς, τους σεξιστές, κλπ.; Μη μου λες τι είναι σωστό και τι όχι. Το χρησιμοποιούνε οι περισσότεροι ναι ή όχι; Πού κολλάει το μαλάκας;

Λεω, αν είναι να λέμε εύκολες λέξεις αντί για σωστές, ας πούμε και μαλάκας. Αν ξέρεις τη διαφορά γιατι να μη χρησιμοποιείς την σωστή λέξη κι όχι τη λάθος; Με ποιά λογική μια λάθος λέξη με λάθος έννοια είναι "εύκολη";

In English: Why should we use the wrong word when we can easily use the right one?

In english: A thousand wrongdoings still don't make one right. ;)

But I don't disagree. xD But still everyone uses it. It's about the meaning it got. Many Greek words can get a lot of meanings, mostly because we use too much slang here. xD Even in the Greek wikipedia, it has the generic meaning, not the right meaning: https://el.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CE%A1%CE%B1%CF%84%CF%83%CE%B9%CF%83%CE%BC%CF%8C%CF%82

I beg to disagree. The so-called "modern" meaning of the word racism (racist etc) is due to the low level of our education system and those aphorisms are being manufactured by the even lower level of our journalists and public speakers.

Anyway this goes over the topic's capacity, imho. ;)

the english transation of the word you use is "bigot", which is someone who is prejudiced against a particular group, whether it be race, sexuality, country of origin, etc.

All racists are bigots, but not all bigots are racist.

Well, we don't say Russians are inferior. We say that the Russian winners on this site tend to be the problematic ones. For example, right now I'm in a Steam chat with a Russian guy who now desperately tries to clear a permanent suspension for key inactivation because he traded them.

I cannot say there aren't a good number of decent users among them. There are quite a few nice ones among my winners. It's, just, you know, when a large part of a problematic group is made up of one kind of people, it becomes more and more difficult to view the many, many others of those people in favourable light.

If that doesn't help, wait 7 days and submit a support ticket.
