I noticed today that my "Commander: Conquest of the Americas Gold" was missing from my library, despite still showing in my Account Details.

After sifting through my list, I noticed that I have two entries for "East India Company Gold" which happens to be from the same developer and publisher. If you click "View Forum", one takes you to "East India Company Gold" while the other takes you to "Commander: Conquest of the Americas Gold".

Anyone else have these two games and experiencing the same thing?

Something like that happened to me where my L4D2 turned into TF2 for some weird reason and I had two TF2 in my account, but I've never head it happening to things other then valve games. Could be something similar though?

At first I thought it could be a change they implemented in the BETA, so I opted out, but no change.

According to steam support it is because you have the game installed multiple times. This apparently messes up the config file. I don't entirely believe this is the cause but that's what they said back when the L4D2 is TF2 thing happened.

That sounds more like someone on support had no clue what has happening and hoped you'd accept it and move on.

I don't think I've even installed either game since my last Windows installation.

I don't know if this helps but when I had the problem I had to do this to fix it

Steam://flushconfig

Taken from here

Which worked fine for me, but I have no idea if that will break, destroy, become sentient or create artifical intelligence on your computer so try at your own risk I guess?
