Persimmon
unji ...?
Usu..MILLSTONE! 💡
surely.
However, even in Japan, the details are slightly different depending on the region, so it is acceptable.
Now, at the stage where “inorganic matter” “talks and moves!”, Foreigners seem to lose sanity.
(A story that is difficult to understand and accept.)
In this area, a story related to “Tsukumogami” (tradition and animism) may be necessary for understanding.

I hope you enjoyed the story anyway.

Oh, there were such comics and anime.(o'Θ'))
You can also check out the “Hyakki Yako Emaki” written in the Muromachi period (1300-1500).

It's been like a year since I ever ate persimmons so haven't tried it in foods, and even banana bread is quite a foreign concept here, so it's just surprising :) I love it how because of the internet I find / know a lot more dishes from all kinds of cultures I wouldn't even hear about otherwise ^^ I'll look into banana / persimmon bread (persimmon is a relatively expensive here compared to other fruits and stuff, like 1kg potatoes is 300 huf, banana usually 500, while one piece of persimmon fruit is generally 200, many people just treat it as "too expensive" to do stuff with. I guess it will worth though :P )

The name looked familiar, they're cachi! :D
Great fruit actually ;)

At least in Italian ;)
And I think they may be linked to the kaki colour, but I'm not good with colours :P

Yay, I have them in the garden, I like them a lot, but I somehow can't eat more than one per week or so.

Not really, it's just a bit odd when most languages just borrow the same name with minor variations except for the few outliers that have something completely different.
I'm used to having a bunch of different names for fruits depending on the country tho, Spanish is a complete mess in that regard.

Had a couple of persimmons this week :)
Also tried to grow them in a pot several times - but they just grow four leaves (rarely six), then their stem turn dark brown and some time after they drop leaves and die :(
Pomegranates on the other hand are really easy to grow :)

I've never eaten one, but the deer around where I live love them.
