Suggestions for buying a new GPU card this summer.

RX 580.
I have a 590 and it indeed eats power like no tomorrow.

Only go for1650 super at this range. Everything else is waste at this price point. 1650 super is almost twice as fast as 1050 ti

I'd wait until the Geforce 3000 series or the so called "Nvidia killer" radeon cards are released.
Otherwise, I'd recommend at least a Geforce 1650 Ti or Super (the 1050 cards aren't very good).

If you're unsure about your power supply there are site like PSU calculator but 550 Watt should be enough. From your selection of GPUs I would go for the 570 or 580. These should give the most performance/price.

I run in past RX Vega 56 UV -5% TDP * because on stock I get OCP on 450W Seasonic Focus Gold
450W is good even for RX 5700 , for RX 580 is enough.
If you on strict budget go with second hand/ used parts for example my Vega 56 cost me 190$ - Sold RX 580 115$ = 75$

It's important what gaming monitor you have (or plan to get). Nvidia is Gsync, Radeon is Freesync.

Reddit /r/buildapcsales is good for finding sales, or Slickdeals.

wait for Nvidia Ampere (march - april) after that you can ask again.

For Hardware: always ask when you want to buy not months before because market and prices changes

GeForce 1050 Ti is waste of money, you should choose Radeon RX 580 (it's very close to GTX 1060 6Gb in performance, but it's way more cheaper). I have bought GTX 1060 6Gb 2 years ago but if I have choose today, I'd get RX 580 8GB.

GTX 1650 Super

I had a 1050 Ti and was very pleased with it. I upgraded to a 580.

My conclusion:

1050Ti is sufficient for HD Gaming, but you have to lower some settings in some games. Pro: low power consumption, silent
580 ist way better for some games that need much memory (AC Odyssey, Tomb Raider). Con: power consumption, higher fan noise

If you get a 1050Ti: there is no better value in fps per Watt, I think. Maybe 1650 and 1080 are slightly better.

I don't know about India, but in the US a 1650 super is the same price as a 1050 ti and is around 75-95% faster.

Also, Nvidia will probably be releasing their next generation GPUs for sale around June, but they usually release the top end cards first and then slowly push out a lower card each month, so it may end up taking till the end of 2020 or possibly even early 2021 until they release something in your price range. I don't know if you have a current GPU you could use in the new system till then or if you would even want to wait that long. You might want to just buy something now if you don't have anything decent and want to play games now.

I don't think AMD will be releasing anything new in that price range because they just released the 5500 XT. It performs similar to the RX580 for a bit more money (in the US).

or save up some more money and get a 1660 super. that one is perfectly fine for pretty much all games at 1080p.

also don't forget about the used market. there is no point in insisting on "but i want something new!!111" at the low end of hardware.

depends what you play, if you play more esports titles take a 4gig 570 or may a 1650 super, if you play more demanding titles take a rx 580 8gig or a 1660

Plan expenses for a computer like a car. It gets cheaper the longer you use it. ;)
I start with a good case, best Mobo, and PSU good enough to support my final config. Max two of my RAM slots, if within budget. I can use an old GPU until I can afford the one I really want for later upgrade. Same with CPU. In three years, I can have a smoking computer that I can rock for the next ten years, all within a tight budget.

Just wait till April then ask again. A lot can have happened by then. Prices may have gone down a bit or up a lot because the C-virus made Asia a quarantine zone and no-one can get hardware any more.

The 1050TI is a good card but it's a bit aged now. A lot of your decision should depend on what CPU you are getting and if it will bottleneck the video card. Most newer CPUs will look at the 1050Ti and ask for more though so if you're buying a new PC for this card it will most likely be fine though it will be a bit low on the low performance end for newer games. I would go for one of the Radeon choices in a new system though just because they are better cards and you will get higher frames with them over the 1050TI. Now if you had said 1080TI instead this conversation would be far different. That card is a beast. The 1050TI, not so much.

GeForce 1050 Ti 4GB was a good choice but not in 2020... Now it's 1650 super :)
