I dealt with Uplay support and EA support... but Desura is the worst support i had to deal with..

by the way i hated Uplay support but EA support was pretty good.

Let me explain my situation with Desura.

I purchased a bundle from indieroyale on 6th of march.
Paypal did charge back without my consent for whatever reason..I Havent even got notification email either from Desura or Paypal but i got banned from Desura altogether.

I cant login to either desura or indieroyale..just because they are from the same company doesn't mean they can ban me from my desura when some problem arises with indieroyale.. Now when i agreed to pay the 2.49 dollars which i owe to them, they are not even providing me a payment portal...they want me to send a check to USA, I am from india and the postage alone costs ten times
more than what i have to pay... Paypal says the transaction is closed and they cant help me...

I was stuck now..without any solution... I have more than 250 games on Desura and i dont have access to them.

EDIT : guys i just assumed that uplay and EA support will be bad...as i stated in my OP ..i had a good experience with EA... Wrong example to use i guess.

Finally ..they revoke my account without paying anything...will add some giveaways after reaching home..nothing fancy but still...

EA support seems to be hit or miss. Sometimes you get someone awesome who actually helps. Sometimes you get someone who barely can read or speak English and gives you a "solution" that you already tried or has nothing to do with your problem.

...and in Steam Support's case, even the "solution" provided is usually a thinly veiled invitation to copulate with yourself.

indie and their small mentality, there is different between one and small as size. sadly most so called small company choose the 1st as their primary trait.

Sounds like Desura have been reading the Steam Customer Support manual...

IIRC, even if they adjudge you to have dicked the system, Steam still allows you to access the games you own, just not buy new ones though. What Desura have done here is likely to be unlawful in any country with half decent consumer protection laws.

Lol, EA and Ubi support the worst with Desura? Hell no, Steam Support is the worst alongside GMG and probably desura, they wait enourmous amount of time just to respond with some stupid automatic message. EA is the best support I had to deal with it up to now with their live-chat, the fastest way to deal with your problem. Ubi support is okay, it's like Steam one, with their own website but they respond rather quickly and accurate to the problem.

Live chat still gives you copy and paste responses. When EA first bought out Origin, they at least had native and or US based customer support, now its routed through india like everyone else.

Wow, that's a bit of a mess that you are in. Just keep bugging support I guess? That or post this all over the internet and hope that the bad publicity makes them get their asses in gear.

Ya ...i am bugging both Desura and paypal support...but they are taking days to just respond...these sites should provide something like online chat..it will much easier to get some kind of answers from real people.

They want a personal check? Sounds like something is up. This is the first I've heard of a digital company wanting a check. I'd look into the legalities of that if I were you. There's something fishy going on here.

Or as the great Hamlet once said- There's something rotten in the state of Denmark, Horatio.

It could have to do with him reversing a payment from paypal for a indie royal bundle, which is owned by the same company that owns desura. Steam will do the same thing if you reverse a payment, they will ban your account or at least prevent you from purchasing from them anymore to prevent fraud.

But i don't think steam will stop me playing my old games, and regarding reversal of payment..i don't know paypal did that.. and i am will to pay the amount if they show me a way to pay online.

You think EA, Uplay and Desura are the worst? Wait until you try to login on rockstar social club and you can't play the freaking game because it will just show you a loading wheel forever. Big companies these days don't give a fuck about us gamers.

Desura support is genuinely bad. It took them literally over a month to respond to me, saying they won't do anything. It took them 37 days to respond with that.

No, EA support was fine to me. I found someone competent on the other side who actually read my ticket and offered a specific solution instead of the cookie-cutter "Thanks for buying out product. Try turning it off and on again and call us if it doesn't work". Playfire was awful in this sense.

I actually find EA's support to be really helpful.
