I won't pay $30 for a nice game on Steam, but I would pay $30 for bundle games which I will probably never play.
Don't beat yourself too hard. There could be worse things you could have spent it on. :)

LOL, it cost 13€ or equivalent in $, Max, Max max....repeat? MAX!!! you should never pay more than that. My favorite Amiibo is the Fox one, but it's not like I needed it a lot, so never bothered buying :/

North America got shafted badly with amiibos thanks to a port strike and retail exclusives. Fox amiibos are rare here now, but it may change in the coming months. Maybe...

I know but it's all about rarity, and knowing how badly Nintendo handles these things. For example, a Villager amiibo I payed $13 for is now worth about $65-100 "new".

I wouldn't call $30 scalping, even if it's double the normal price. It's not THAT much of a difference. Sure, it's not cool, but it's nothing compared to, say, the prices of the Majora's Mask New 3DS's on ebay. It retails for $199.99, I've seen it scalped as high as $750. THAT'S a big difference.
